^Yea it's easy to get demoralised if you can't seem to bink a decent prize in the challenges, but that's just variance I guess - some get lucky, some don't. Over time the luck should even out and you should get your fair share of the prizes.

Regarding today's live satellite challenge, are you allowed to unregister to claim T$ if you manage to win a qualifier seat?

I think for
unregistering satellites you don't get T$ iirc.. think I will pass on that shootout ticket

You will get T money provided it's like a $2 mtt to a 109 or something. If it's a sat to the actual Live event then u have to play.

Hey guys, what do you think of this idea? [Suggested in mtt discussion thread but got no response there]

Run it twice/Lifeline in mtts but can only be used once in a tourney - whenever a player wishes to use this lifeline be it early stage/near bubble/later stage.

Lets say I want to go all-in or call all-in, but before doing that I click on "Use Lifeline" and if I get called, community cards will be dealt twice irrespective of whether my opponent has decided to use his lifeline or not. Ofcourse if nobody calls your all-in after using lifeline, you can still use it again.

This would be very interesting during bubble stage as you'll be hoping if your opponent has used it so as to not get your lifeline go wasted.

I think most tournament regs get their edges from bubble play, so I am not so sure that they would like your suggestion. It would also increase tournament times.

In practice it would just be a kind of super rebuy that you could use throughout the tournament

It would have some interesting effects on ICM, because a chopped pot is the worst result for the rest of the people in the tournament (I think) in any all-in situation.

How about adding a twist like if both players choose to use their lifelines, RIT wont run and both their lifelines would be wasted?

For today's silver challenge "Play two live event satellites..." Do rebuys or add ons count as a second satellite. I would think not looking how it is worded but just double checking if anyone is certain about this?

No, rebuys or add-ons do not count as a second satellite.

How many hands on average do you need to win a hand with full house? According to me it's ~600 if counted on a showdown only Do non showdown full houses counts as well?

Yes, non showdown full houses count as well, as long as you win the hand.

Playing fast and loose with the word promotion there.

Second $5 today + $2 in shootout cashes. Nearly 2 years worth of shootouts, I'm under $50 in total having taken part in most. Would need decades to even out the variance in them.

4500 hands for the 5 full houses, in the process I lost 4 buyins

... and won two tickets LOL

Was thinking that as well - especially since my PT 'luck-o-meter' has been looking like this for the year.

It's hard enough sometimes to just make a full house - and then to have to win five times ... would have maybe preferred the task to be to lose with KK aipf five times in a row the way have been running lately lol ... ()

On the other hand, just won $24 with one of the Gold shootouts, so now think this is the best promo ever

Guess lots of people like these promos where there's a chance to win a big prize? Although guess then a lot of people also wind up willing less than the EV, like I was on track to do ... so then that's not as fun when the prizes aren't so great, for completing challenges that took time to do ...

On the bright side, it looks like the shootouts of 2016 have so far been worth more than most of the ones they used to run in 2014? One time, was looking over all the shootouts for 2014, and they used to give out shootout tickets for doing little things like making 1vpp playing cash/zoom - but then the shootouts would only have a $10-20k prize pool with 50k entries. And one time when only 4k to 8k were making ITM, didn't manage to cash once in 7 tries

It looks like the January and Summer Challenges where there was a small prize pool with a ton of entrants were the hardest to cash? Guess these challenges were super easy to complete, so lots of people did - but they don't seem like they're worth going out of the way to try and complete, even if they're easy? The January Challenge maybe wasn't as bad even though there were lots of people signed up, because more people cashed ...

Guess it's been nice at least with there being so many shootout tickets given out everyday, that the chance to make ITM for this latest challenge hasn't been so bad with at least the Gold challenges. These challenges are all quite top-heavy though - maybe not as much fun when running about average (or worse )?

Was looking at the selection of live tourney satties yesterday, when that was the Silver task, and even the satties were all higher buy-ins than my usual stake lol So that's a really nice prize, to have the chance to play a live tourney.

They've had a couple of giveaways of packages to live tourneys this year already with PSO/Intellipoker - it looks like there's one running now for an LAPT Chile package:

And here's a little article from the PS Blog on the person who won the UKIPT Dublin package last month:

Used to play those special zoom pools with the pros - guess it was like 2c/4c, and the pros can pick their own game? So sometimes it was full-ring, and sometimes it was 6max or plo? So that was kind of fun

Gosh, the monthly $30k Silver Star VIP tourney already has over 18k registered, and it doesn't start for another hour ... looks like this month an entry might only be worth around $1?

And the $100k added 50coin tourney that starts later today that had the number of entries capped at 65k got expanded to a 100k max entry, so that one'll be a little different too ...

The prize pools sound so big - but there's sooo many of us 'recreationals'! Then everything gets diluted down to pennies

May still play the Silver - not so sure about the later one, but GL to all of us playing today

Guess since we know that 60.3 of people receive shootout tickets, and we can see from the lobby how many people have gotten shootout tickets, it looks like there's been 138,775 people who have completed Gold challenges so far, for the promo as a whole?

So for 138,775 completed Gold challenges - guess odds are these are the prizes that have been given out?

Code:
1 $100k
272 $1k
1387 $100
3467 $50
13,877 $10
36,062 $5
83636 Shootout Tickets
So it looks like there's been a non-small number of people who have $1k ... congrats andmunn01 on being one of them

Lots of shootout tickets as well though ... also, rake is so high for +10nl zoom, it looks like the rake alone from the zoom days might have been about enough to possibly cover the costs of this promo? Cash/zoom rake is extremely high :/
