I just logged into my Pokerstars account and noticed my balance had increased. I looked in my history and found the above transaction had been made but, I have no idea what it is or how I got it, as I haven't made any transactions on my account since I made a withdrawl a few days ago.

Am not complaining, obviously - but, am curious as to how/why I received this bonus, as i've never seen it before in all my years on Pokerstars.

Yeah, i've been in email talks with a department at pokerstars within the last few hours and have just received an email to say I was indeed correct and they we're wrong about the matter we we're discussing. As a result a manger got involved and has credited my account with the funds I mentioned.

I think the generosity depends on the players' average deposit amount in the past as well as on whether he's been inactive (in the real-money section) recently.

As unlikely as the top prize is to start with, looks like they're making it more unlikely each time? 0.0005% is 200,000/1, depending on participation they might never pay it out. There's no decent non-jackpot prizes now either.

At least with such a crappy promo they won't drive any more traffic to Spins.

I was hopeing to see something different in regards to promo's on Pokerstars...the constant 'cash game' promo's have become a bit stale and boring IMO, along with offering little to no value for money so, to see the new 'spinball' promo appear was a breath of fresh air and spiked my interest.

I quickly lost all interest again though, after looking into the new promo in more detail and seeing what was on offer. I realised that IMO, this new promo is even worse than the cash game ones and as a result, found myself ROFLMAO.

Your promo's these days are definitely targeting 'rec' players - it's clear to see. Who else in there right mind would spend 5 and 11 buy-ins on this promo, when the promo probabilities suggest the vast majority of players will only receive 1/2 - 1 buy-in back in return for there outlay?!

Well in terms of rake vs prize EV this promo seems significantly better than the cash game one

In Jacks or better, I would have had to generate around $10 in rake for an average prize of like $2.50 (25% rakeback)

But in this promo I only have to generate around $1 rake for total average prizes of $1.50 (150% rakeback)
