Table chatter isn't super heavy on Pokerstars PA but it's definitely there and the the thing I miss most about my local casino(still not open) is the chitting contests, the drama, the social element.

Zoom is effectively the end of chat: Played a hand against strike last night where 4 out of 6 people on the table commented. So people still watch hands even if they are mutlitabling and discussion is still fun.

I might as well post the hand if i'm going to use it as a reference. Strike read me for a trap on this one and was correct which is why I hate playing pots against strike... because he is often correct. I read him for j10hh/kjhh, I was in the ballpark at least.

I like how you both galaxy brained each other out of making money printing pot sized river bets. TJhh and KJhh would be brutal bluff options for him on the river since he blocks a ton of your 2 street bluffs and JJ, TT. Love these interesting dynamics that come up after playing thousands of hands with someone and hundreds in a session.

Agree with everything else you said, please no zoom ever.

Please educate me a little on Zoom regarding fish losing money faster. I have virtually no zoom experience.
Just because they are playing more hands faster they will lose their bankrolls faster? Even if nobody has any HUD stats on them and the regulars are playing tighter?
Every time they raise they are getting significantly more respect and, I assume stealing more blinds and pots, than they would get at regular table where all the regulars can see it is a 65VP/30PFR type player, etc etc.

I'm mildly curious to try the Zoom thing on there but I do accept the consensus of those who know more than me that I shouldn't want to see it on Stars.

^^ pretty sure hm2 works with zoom or at least it used to on row stars, so that dynamic wouldn't change. That being said I play almost only plo on here, dont want to bother with table selecting nl but I would play zoom. Lets hope we 1-2 years from now we're part of a bigger multi-state network and have enough of a player pool to warrant it.

Gotcha. I thought it would be one of those anonymous table things. So zipping around from table to table is still THAT bad for the game? Interesting.

I'm guessing we will be getting it eventually anyway. Any number of ways.
1. Party or some other site finally enters PA and has it.
2. Stars does it here anyway.
3. Laws change and we are no longer geo-fenced inside Pennsylvania only. On that topic I will also accept the opinion of the consensus that that would probably not be good for the games. But regardless of anyone's opinion or preference, there is a decent chance it will happen.

That’s easy: just type “LUCAAA” in chat and go all in over single raises preflop whenever you have a LUCAAA hand.

Most of the time they’ll fold but even if they call it’s a flip, so you print.

Ok I got some noob questions:

1. I can only play while in PA?
2. Can I play on my phone? Or do I need a tablet/pc?
3. Can I register an account with an out of state address?
4. Can I cash out from out of state
5. How long are cash outs
6. If you are in NJ is that a different player pool/can you play while in Nj or would that require a different account?
7. Would I have to login w my old pstars login info? Or can I make a new account and this site is completely separate?

I go to Parx from the New York area 2x per week lately and am considering making an account on pstars and am genuinely curious if this is legal/possible/a good idea ?.. any help appreciated

Sorry if I posted repeat questions

Feel free to add anything else that might be relevant

1. Yes
2. You can play on all three
3. More than likely, I have seen players with Las Vegas as their city
4. I've only cashed out from PA but I don't see why not
5. Fast. Bankwires 1-2 days, PayPal nearly instant
6. Totally different site, different account
7. I had to make a new account. Old ROW stars will not work

I'll just add the following (after the standard "let me google that for you" response....)

3. You can live in any state and do everything from anywhere except make real money bets of any kind. Any real money poker, casino action, sports bets (placing or cashing out) has to happen while you're in the borders of PA. Same goes for NJ.

6. Confirmed. While this sucks as far as liquidity goes, it does allow you to take advantage of all the sign-up bonus offers and other continuing offers (including casino and sportsbook) separately. The sites don't share a wallet between states so you have to fund them separately.

7. Your PA account must be a brand new account. Your NJ account used to be able to recover your old Stars OG account, not sure if that's still true. But it can be a brand new one in NJ too.

I jumped into 2/5 as a tourney donk last yr knowing very little about cash and was humbled pretty quickly... I still have plenty of leaks but cleaned up a lot of my game specifically pf play and studying common post flop 3bp/4bp stuff.

Overall, people overestimate the skill of the average reg at 2/5, but there are some really tough ones. The other thing is the VIPs are really bad at 2/5+ so the avg player(myself included) is losing some to the top regs but still printing v the fish.

Also, what's your win rate? What's a good win rate? What do you think the highest win rate is? Can you post your results? What kind of bankroll do you need to play 500NL, 1000NL, 2000NL, and 5000NL? Furthermore, who's better, you or illinthehead?
