For my last 57k chest I received 1000 gold and $25. Whats that 6% effective rb?

Minor complaints about software is more often then not the software cant display the avatars and it forgets my autologin.

A post in the NJ thread said they just had their Black Chests cost increased by 50% and there are competing sites over there so I am not too hopeful on this now.

I'm on Diamond chest, however not only did my required points go from 13.4k to 23.4k, my chests to upgrade have dropped twice! They've gone from 8/10 chests complete to 7/10, to 4/10 now.

Something similar happened to me.... I was well on my way to opening a chest (9/10 to upgrade) and all of a sudden I'm at 4/10 to upgrade. WTF??

i hate that they changed to BB instead of Chips in tourney while viewing. I know you can change it while playing, but i don't want to see raise 2.5 bb call 2.5bb, pot 5 bb etc..

Now they can't geolocate me

I am able to be geolocated by another company at the same time

All that bullshit with the chests happened to me too...

I was at 9/10 chests on diamond. Now I'm at 8. This is ****ing bullshit!

It's been 28 days since my account hasn't been able to geolocate. My friend signed in on his phone, located him instantly, I sign in the same phone, it doesn't work. It's some glitch on my account, and some other players. I've contacted them every single day for four weeks straight now. They tell me to uninstall the software and wait until it's fixed. 28 days now.

No one on pokerstars support team has any idea what's going on. They are an awful company in numerous ways. I cannot wait for party poker to launch, its 1,000,000 times better than pokerstars. I didn't like Stars before this incident. Now I absolutely despise them.

It's on a rolling 28 day period and you go down by chest, not tier (ex you cleared a chest 28 days ago, so tomorrow you'll go down by one chest 8/10 to 7/10, etc)

The expiration date that shows is if you're idle a long time, then you go down in tier (ex going from diamond to gold)

The only thing I don't understand is why the points went up. I dunno if it's intentionally scaled that way or they just jacked up the price on us without notice (I'm on diamond and I was clearing 10k per chest, then it went to sth like 13.8k and now it's 23.4k)

To anyone who is having geolocation issues...

Are you using Chrome? Consider uninstalling Chrome and then reinstalling it. You might get lucky and solve the geolocation issue. Or uninstall whatever browser you downloaded the PokerStars client with. I think on their end that might have something to do with how their geolocation software works

I don't fully understand this stuff, but I was having probs w Chrome after a Windows update on my desktop. I uninstalled Chrome, then couldn't get geolocated by PokerStars. However, when I logged on to FanDuel sports book, they also could not geolocate me, but it auto asked me to redownload something that I'm guessing establishes a connection between my comp and their geolocation software...

They were then able to locate me. PokerStars still couldn't locate me at the same time. I reinstalled Chrome and PokerStars is able to locate me again. Try that, you might get lucky

Please please put in more bounty builders and more micro mtts. The schedule is really forcing you to play $10-$50 mtts no matter what your bankroll is. Most of the micro mtts are 45 minute timed mtts.

What about low guarantee on demand bounty builder like the $3 one on PS international?

For those having issues with geolocation:

For the first month I was able to play on PokerstarsPA with zero geolocation issues from my desktop PC in my basement office. Then one day I was 100% unable to be geolocated despite not changing anything with my PC, internet set-up, etc.

Customer support mentioned that I needed to have multiple wifi networks showing up in my internet settings (my own, my neighbors, etc.) because that it how they triangulate your location when on PCs. When I checked my wifi settings, I saw that my computer was only showing my own personal wifi and that's was it. When I would turn my phone's hotspot on and create a second connection, I was able to instantly be geolocated with that second wifi network showing up. Basically my desktop has VERY weak wifi-receiving capabilities and is unable to pick up any networks more than about 10 feet away.

I eventually bought a usb wifi extender for my computer and it works 100% great. It picks up 10+ wifi networks from around my neighborhood and only cost about $15 on amazon. I have had zero issues with geolocation since the hotspot and usb-extender remedies.


I know this issue is separate from certain posts ITT where there seems to be an overall glitch with entire accounts, but I'm hoping this helps some people solve their geolocation issues because it is an easy fix once you realizing what's going on.

Not sure what you are supposed to do if you live in an isolated area with no neighbors and no hot-spot capabilities on your phone......

I play every day so I don't have any inactivity. Plus the longest it's taken me to clear a chest has been a week with this 23.4k one.

Case in point, yesterday i was 4/10 and cleared a chest, I logged back in today and I'm back down to 4/10.

I live in a neighboring state and was thinking of coming across the border and playing during the upcoming tournament series. I have not yet opened an account - are players able to make a deposit while outside of PA? I know I can play once over the border, but I'd prefer to have my account squared away before I make the trip if possible.

You can deposit and withdraw from anywhere. On WSOP NJ they give you a pop up telling you what you are doing is illegal when you sign on out of state. Which is annoying, but you are allowed to deposit and withdraw.

That's how it works. But you never drop out of diamond unless you clear zero bars by the expiration date that shows when you click the bar. You just stay in diamond and keep clearing chests, but your volume may never be enough to get to black. It sets you back based on a rolling 28 day window

Set up an account last week and they gave me $20 free, I was going to deposit the $600 for the bonus but decided I'll take the $20 for a test drive. Got everything set up and man O man were the games great and the software amazing after having to deal with the BS of Ignition and WPN for so long. A week later I moved to a new place which is literally hundreds of feet, maybe a mile, away from NJ.

Now they can't confirm my location and I can't play from my home. I walked down about 1/2 a mile or so and it worked on my phone. This **** is so tilting. Every state in this god damn country besides Hawaii borders another state! How could they not anticipate this and have a solution in place?

So tilted because the games reminded me of the Ol' PartyPoker Mike Sexton days, the players are THAT bad. What a shame :sigh:

They can solve the geolocation issues by getting online poker legalized in all 50 states!

I spent 400 gold coins on some free casino spins cause i thought it would be funny. I log into the web app but the casino can't geolocate me. So i email support, and John tells me he needs to reset something on his end. He tells me to restart my computer and it should work. So i restart my computer, and it doesn't work. W/e no big loss it was only for funz right? I go to login to poker client, and now it wont locate me. John tells me its a problem on their end, and they are working on a fix in the near future. John just put me in the indefinite cooler and i'm literally sick to my stomach about it, after waiting ten years only to get screwed by support.

Put me on the list of people getting the geolocation of death screen. I talked to support, who did respond quickly but they were no help. I unistalled and reinstalled the app on my phone. Logged in and got the new device log in warning email with my ip address. They emailed and said we see you logged in from PA... but I still can't sit or place bets from my phone. They haven't responded since I explained that to them.

FWIW it took them a lil over 24 hours to fix the poker clients geolocations problem for me. I still can't use the free spin things in the casino, but i could give two shits about that. Good Luck
