The Christmas decorations are still scattered all over the place. Is there a way to remove them as I can't seem to do it in table/theme settings?

If not, does StarsCaption work?

I guess I am not a shill/plant?

You are good in my book! Always above and beyond helpful even when you don’t need to be.

Found this article (vague) after reading your edit:

It definitely seems like I am having to do a lot more table selecting and table management so far -_- ... There does seem to be the benefit of more players during off peak hours for more volume though ... if it turns out I'm right and it's a bad thing for the pool ... I still think it could be a good thing eventually if many more states came on board (which would require more states to legalize...), since the number of regs is likely to be more skewed toward the few regulated states we currently have.

The other problem is NV doesn't allow HUDs, so once you combine with NV, HUDs can no longer be allowed in the other states. Banning HUDs creates an opportunity (that has already been documented to have been abused at least once in NV) for less scrupulous players to use a card catcher to get HH and use a HUD... giving them a leg up on those who aren't willing to break the rules. Obviously, there are also a lot of pros in Vegas which doesn't help.
Game quality definitely seems to have gone down for 50NL ... can you still find good games? Yeah, sometimes but it's definitely a lot harder to find a table with at least 2 fish.

Traffic was pretty bad in NJ before the merge. Makes sense it's a net negative for MI regs, for now.

My exp so far has been that's games are quite reg-filled post merger but there's tons more action

I've heard PA games aren't great either but haven't played there... and I believe there is legislation that needs to be done to join the multistate compact.

It's hard to see the games on Stars NJ/MI getting better anytime soon unless a new state all together comes online. Connecticut and West Virginia both have legalized online poker - but no operators. Seems like it should be relatively easy for Stars to get a foothold there ... find a partner and launch a new site seems pretty easy from a technical standpoint. I assume, but could definitely be wrong, that they could spin up another Stars server for any state/country etc. at any time with the push of a button ... and just have a control panel behind the scenes to control anything that needs to be customized... if not they really should be aiming for something like that. Of course there is the political part of finding a partner... Hopefully we will get some more states on board this year, maybe IA, IL, IN, KY, NY?

Online sports betting is now legal in the following states that haven't legalized online poker AZ, AR, CO, DC, IL, IN, IA, KS, LA, MD, NH, NY, OH, OR, RI, TN, VA, WY. Would be nice to see some more progress in those states.

Until then trying to study my butt off, table select like crazy, and put in massive volume. Already up to 21K hands for the month. Might diversify to some other sites as well ...

Apparently spins are worse than before:

doesnt make sense what that guy says about profitability, if 2x are way more common it just means variance is jacked, which sucks

Color me surprised that the house has the edge in spins.

I had a 11% roi in the old format, its not hard to have a positive roi, more variance is a pita tho

$1s are probably harder, most of the edge is from people over folding

I used to be a reg on Stars in NJ... Came back with the merger... Are they still doing a tournament leaderboard? I couldn't find anything about it on the website.

I know that we can't play on GG in the U.S. but from video feeds I've watched (like JNandez) they have added a HUD of sorts but it's pretty basic. From what I can tell, it's VPIP, PFR and 3Bet. It would seem that it shouldn't be a problem, if all players had access to it.

Is there anyone in this forum who plays on GG? If so, what are the stats that you have access to?

Outside of the HUD issue with NV, NJ has Atlantic City. Doesn't that allow a lot of international players in?

I'm in Michigan but one thing I've noticed on occasion, is some players that have NY screen names or reference NY. I've never been to NY or NJ but depending on where you live, it doesn't look like it would be that long of a drive for someone from NY to go to NJ to play online. You only have to be geolocated in a state that allows online poker, as opposed to actually living in the state itself, right?
