We have a list of NJ Black Card VIPs, so it should be a matter of checking it and if you're on up, you'll be upgraded.

Regarding deposit limit questions, these are dealt with on a case by case basis, but for players specifically referring to ACH/eCheck, if you make a few successful deposits I recommend contacting security again asking for them to consider raising your limits. Also note that Skrill/Neteller have higher limits if that is an option for you.

I will be less active here over the next few days due to some travel, but will scan for urgent questions/issues and otherwise be back next week.

Thanks,
Dylan

Holy cow thanks for this info! I just emailed and they told me the vip department will review my email tomorrow but I was absolutely a full tilt black card member in 2011 (still have the metal card even) and if they give me super nova status ill crap a brick!

Oh man what a great freaking deal this will be if works and I get upgraded to 30% rb!

Dylan does Stars have a plan to aggressively pursue getting linked up with other states? I know we only have Nevada and Delaware to work with right now but even that would add 7.5 million people to the base population.

My knowledge of different states populations has gotten a lot better since black friday lol

Is there an option to show hand strength (flush or whatever?)
Can't seem to find it like all other sites have.

Everything else has gone smoothly, thanks for allowing some higher limits, hopefully we can keep the games busy.

I'm answering on behalf of msnnj - hope s/he doesn't mind

A .bat file is the short extension name for a batch file which is a file type for running a series of commands automatically once you open it

So... On your Windows PC
[1] Click "Start" button
[2] In the "Run" box type "Notepad" & press "Enter" on your keyboard - this will open the Windows Notepad program
[3] type the below into notepad just as I've laid it out in two lines [or copy/paste]:
net stop audiosrv
net start audiosrv
[4] Click "File" in the menu bar of notepad & then click "Save" which opens an explorer window
[5] Navigate to anywhere on your PC where you'd like to save the file such as the desktop
[6] Name the file "sounds.bat" [or any other name you like, BUT MAKE SURE IT ENDS WITH ".bat"]
[7] There will be a field below that the naming field probably where you can choose the "Save as type" option - so choose the "All files" option, otherwise it saves as a text file [you don't want that]
[8] Once you have completed these steps, click the "Save" button & close notepad
[9] When the sound messes up just click on the ".bat" file you made [that's why it's handy to have it on the desktop] which will stop & restart your audio service
[10] After the ".bat" file runs it will close itself automatically

If you don't understand the above then ask a question or two here

Deploy bubble effect fix to avoid overlays and less participation #994389717

.COM recently deployed this fix and this is saving them from overlays specially in small field tourneys

PokerStars Dylan,

I used my MasterCard to deposit money. I noticed on my online statement, that I was charged 150.00 on the 18th and that cleared. However there is a pending charge for the same amount on the 18th as well. I only made 1 deposit. Why is there a pending transaction showing? Also I was charged a 10.00 cash advance fee by Mastercard. Is that a normal transaction?

Thank You.

TBH we need PA & NY to approve the bills that they are working on (there is a good chance both will pass this year) then merge with them. I'm still crossing my fingers that the next AG doesn't change the interpretation of the wire act.

I also have to run mine as admin. No biggie. If I cared more I would figure out how to check the box so that it always runs as admin and doesn't ask permission, but it is good enough for me with the two extra clicks.

It seems, but this is totally anecdotal, that once I run this once, Stars doesn't **** up the sound again. I was expecting to have to run it frequently, but I haven't (but I might just be lucky, occasionally I could get in a decent session without having to restart the app to fix sound before I made the batch file yesterday)

I don't see how they can put the genie back in the bottle now that states have moved forward. Seems like it would be a huge fight and I can't imagine the next administration, whoever it is, wasting political capital on something like on line poker.

I hope that this is right. It sounds right because these companies have already put their time and money into it. Both of those states would add a total 32 million base. I'd love to see what that would do to the traffic on the site. If we can get 3 or 4 times the current traffic, this whole mess would be close to fixed

i may be mistaken but i believe the way nj law is written it currently doesnt allow for mixed pools with other states.

Dylan,

I deposited but had no where to enter STARS600. Can it be applied to my account? Will it take into account the hands I've already put in yesterday and today?

Message support@pokerstarsnj.com and ask them to apply the $600 bonus to your account they will apply it. For me it only counted for hands that I played after it was applied.

Response to previous post I am almost certain the law has a carve out for state partnerships.

Support has been atrocious from stars. They keep telling me I cannot open and fund my NJ account until I am actually within the state borders. I've pm'd you Dylan for some help. Not very encouraging to be dealing with such a constant inflow of bad information from many different customer service reps, especially if they are all wrong. Hopefully someone in the company informs the customer service department that you don't need to be within the state to open and fund a NJ account - seems like a pretty big detail to get wrong as you get emails from older clients asking how they can send you money...

And I've played millions of cash game hands on stars prior to 2011... so if they care so little about my account then I wonder what kind of process is in place to get the NJ market going again. Deposits are probably an important part of getting NJ stars going - customer service probably shouldn't be telling people they can't open accounts if this is wrong.

I found best results by choosing call me back option under support tools in client might not be much help but it's worth a try.

I have two words: Sheldon Adelson

Trust me, I hope that the cork doesn't get put in the bottle.

That's not true. So long as the "servers" are located in NJ we can. Same as other countries merging with us.

I'm almost 100% certain I remember them specifically creating or amending the language to allow for future pooling between states.

Breaking news: Amaya CEO David Baazov Charged with Insider Trading.
To anyone living in nj, I recommend not to even start playing at this corrupt site. choose party poker or something else. It may seem like a good idea but it is not. Don't trust a site run by a bunch of criminals.

Lol its not breaking news. The NJDGE took the AMF investigation into consideration. Stars has a 6 month lease and player funds are protected. Party might as well be criminals after all the stuff they have put us through. Amazing how many butt hurt ex stars players there are in the rest of the world.
