I had the same problem. Finally, I installed PSNJ software on another computer (a desktop) successfully, then I logged in on the original laptop and the software then installed the PSNJ client successfully. I then uninstalled the software from the desktop.

Anyone having trouble migrating accounts may want to try it again.

Just did it one last time and it worked easy.

If I go to my task manager how do I know if it is a remote SW?

I'm on an new ASUS laptop with Windows 10. I thought I saw someone else having a problem?
From 888:

Many programs could be classified as RDP's, these include software such as 'LogMeIn', 'GoToMyPC', 'RealVNC', 'TeamViewer', 'Apple Remote Desktop', 'Remote Desktop Manager', 'Citrix XenApp', 'PocketCloud' and any work based internet connections such as VPN's or proxy servers.
Please close the Remote Desktop Program the same way you would any other program and try connecting to 888 again.
From Borgata:

Any VPN or VNC software can interfere with the geolocation process. These kinds of software cannot be running during gameplay. Some examples include: Witopia, OpenVPN, or HMA.
Since it used to work on your old PC, and all platforms will not geolocate on your new laptop, an RDP seems a likely culprit.

FWIW, I've been in touch with Martin in operations and after sending the log files of a failed attempt to convert my account, they (apparently) figured out what was wrong and I was able to convert my account.

Thanks for all the help in getting this resolved, Dylan (and Martin!).

Sounds like whatever they found was causing your problem was the cause of everyone else's issue as well as it seems to have been resolved for everyone now.

Thanks man, I'm not that tech savvy. All I did was turn on my new laptop. One of these RDPs may just come on automatically? I guess I go to Task Manager and just start ending tasks?

I don't see many issues here for depositing. That's great. Anyone having any success or failures for eChecks? Is it any different than the other sites?

I had issues with my Mastercard debit card through Capital One Bank. No issues with eChecks through another bank.

Edit: I just realized I purposely did not name the bank because I've been conditioned to think I'm always doing something illegal.

(and traffic was good at these steaks last night and oddly enough during midday today, traffic died at like 4-5pm today for reasons unknown)

I don't see why they've made it only available for NJ residents?? Seems a bit inbred.

Have to be physically located in NJ per NJ law and regulations, although residency is not technically a requirement.

What I mean is the player pool is purely consisting of NJ residents. Players from Europe/South America/Canada won't be involved in any of the games there. I mean, it's a great step for the NJ poker community but seems a bit illogical to cut out he rest of the world.

It's for legal reasons but also for the best for US to stay out of ROW games.

This, I've posted about it twice ITT, and also on P5s, no responses yet. Also sent support and email and PM'd PokerStars Dylan. I'm sure there's a reason for it and they have there basis covered, but if not that's really bad for obvious reasons.

I have other scenarios in my head that I don't care to type out in detail. I'd rather hear PokerStars comment on it. Guess we'll wait and see what they say.
