I guess it's possible, but I would think there would be an announcement. I don't see why that would be unscheduled or unexpected (emergency) maintenance.

I never knew that Pokerstars was available to Michigan players. I downloaded the client, but received this message after clicking on cashier "We are sorry, we do not allow deposits in your area."

Make sure you're using the right link. I think it's pokerstarsmi that you should be looking for. You have to be physically in Michigan.

Yeah, I am. I think it is because I'm using my old PokerStars account in the PokerStars Michigan client and it just moves me to the international version. I'm going to try creating a fresh account and see what happens.

Side note- There are currently 2 legal/regulated poker sites for Michigan players; PokerStars & BetMGM Poker. A third legal/regulated poker site (WSOP) is expected to launch sometime this year.

They're waiting to launch until it goes multi state. As soon as Michigan gets it together on that, WSOP will launch.

hi all, just wondering if anyone else is seeing random instances of the table freezing up after a hand is played out and after chips move to the winner? Seems to have started happening after the site was down for the weekend.

The table will freeze up for 10 to 30 seconds, with players still having the ability to chat, and then the game moves on. It was pretty sporadic the last few days but I just played a tourney and it was happening quite a bit. I only play tourneys so not sure if it happens in cash.

I emailed support and received a fast reply, but it was a standard format reply to check things on my end.

Also, another minor glitch, nothing major... after the bubble breaks and you get the fireworks and the chips falling from the sky, the chips continue to fall unless to close the table and sit back down again.

I can't prove it, but it is very possible PS combined the MI and PA player pools. I was playing a tournament today with "PhillySpecial77" and "PA real money". And of course the number of players signed in counter isn't working, so you can't even see if there has been a spike in players logging in.

I have seen tables freeze up for no apparent reason also.

Their latest graphics engine is known for being somewhat laggy. Try going to client settings and disabling and superfluous animations (like the bubble and In the Money ones) and also try using a theme that doesn't tax computer resources as much like the Carbon light one.

I play pretty often but haven't ever seen a challenge. The only thing I saw was a $5 football bet

Just trying pokerstars michigan on my Samsung phone. Unless I'm missing something I'm not happy with the software..are there really not tournament lobbies?? There appears no way to see tournament position, payouts, etc. Also, the cash lobby doesn't show tables but just throws you onto a table?? And there's no way to add on while playing cash??? Thanks.

You can do all of those things with a laptop/pc. Not sure why anyone would play real money poker from a mobile.

I play on mobile all the time for various reasons. (need to get food, walk the dog, take care of the kids, etc etc)

There is lobbies, click from a drop down on the left of the screen I believe.

You shouldn't do any of those things while betting real money but you do you. See you on the felt.
