Yes! If someone busts in the blinds the button still moves no matter what! I've had this happen to me two times yesterday where I skipped the Big blind and was in the small blind!

FYI if you dont want casino/sports bonuses in your chests, just go to settings and uncheck show casino/sports tab and you'll only get poker related bonuses/cash.

I have like a dozen of those stupid things, already. I'm going to write to Stars support. They've already reduced their rewards program to a useless trash heap of Counterstrike loot crates. Giving the players loot that is impossible to use is seriously weak.

Nobody has ever wanted me to do anything more in life it seems, than Stars wanting me to play their casino games.

I had the same issue the first try .. then the next morning everything was 'OK'. The App is limited for sure with no table selection and lack of noise warnings when you leave the table to do a chest or look at the lobby (what lobby there is). It's a little clunky to get back to your table as well.

Been playing mainly 25/50, 50/1 and 1/2 PLO .. plenty of cash-n-dasher and even a couple of Players who don't seem to like my company at the table and exit within a couple of orbits after I sit down. One guy this morning was rippin' players a new one every hand he lost .. potting or 3 betting every hand, until he tripled up and sat on his hands for 2 orbits and then left. I figured there would be a chat filter, but he got some 'messages' through for sure.

I think between tournaments and PLO cash I'm 4x my deposit so far. I need to disable the auto-table change when action is on me since I've called some bets at the wrong table when it switched while I was in motion for another table. One was pretty funny since the player was bluffing and chatted 'great call' afterwards! I can't imagine trying to 3-table without disabling that feature somehow. GL

Picked up multiple ~$200 black chests from playing a lot of 200nl, play and action has been great. Averaging 11.5BB/100 multitabling 200nl and a mix of some 500 as well over a decent sample size.

Stars MI has been great compared to ignition and the apps available prior, don't think I'll be switching and will put in as much volume as I can while the games are good.

Just checked the strat forums for first time in about 10 years. No wonder games are good.

Where do I find deposit bonus progress / info? I don't see anything anywhere and nothing shows up under the bonus tab (mobile). Support has not responded to my question.

Also curious on deposit bonuses - looks like there is up to $600 out there. Is there a set time whereby that must be earned? Along the lines of the prior question, what is the best way to track progress, confirm tiers of getting it released, etc.? Thanks much!

I can track my bonus progress in the My Stars Bonuses of the PC client. I have not tried checking them in the mobile app.

It does show up on the PC client, I see it now thank you. It does not show up in the exact same spot on the mobile app.

The Stars software is distressingly bad. It reeks of “contracted out to lowest bidder.” I’d be shocked if they had in-house devs doing the work. If they do, either the devs are terribly mediocre or their management sucks. It’s so bad that I worry about its security.

Here are two minor issues I’ve run into: 1) I was on a waitlist for a really good game and when my seat was open, the PC client froze. 2) Sometimes the casino games don’t load and I have to restart the client. Mildly annoying because you obviously can’t reload while you’re playing at a table without losing your seat.

I wonder if your setup makes any difference. I’m running a newer laptop with an i7 10th gen and 8 GB of RAM for what it’s worth.

I also have been experiencing horrible disconnects. Pretty much from the time I registered. Every time I hit replay hand or change of table theme or anything like that the client freezes and I have to log out and then log back in. I always get back in but I’m sure I’ve been a pain in the ass at the tables because of it. The only way around it I’ve found is to not do anything other than play poker without clicking on anything other than basic commands.

Slots frequently fail to load when I try to burn off my free spins, and closing the slot to select another doesn't work, because Stars will complain that you already have a free spin session open. This has not happened just once, but many times. You can wait ten or fifteen minutes for whatever they consider to be a "session" to expire, or you can close and restart the client.

On two separate occasions, I have checked the "auto rebuy" checkbox over and over and over again, only to have it never reload me. I've made sure my buyin options are set to buy in for table max any time I fall under it. Both times this happened, it happened across multiple tables.

I click the "Remember Me" button every single time I start the client. It never remembers me. Well, not never. Like the second or third session I played, it mysteriously remembered me. Never again.

When the client freezes (twice, now; once taking my entire system with it*), it wipes out all of my settings and options. I have to set dark mode again. I have to tell it not to focus tables when it's my turn. I have to tell it to save hand histories, and how long to save them for. I have to set my show/muck options all over. Not letting this happen is Development 101 stuff.

4] is not a valid date on any calendar I am aware of. By itself, this is a petty issue, but it's part of a long list of half-assery.

There's a lot of poor interface design, too. Create a custom table layout then try to update it. You can't. It will complain that you already have a layout by that name, and force you to save it as a new layout. There's a bunch of dumb stuff like that. Not technically bugs, but quality-of-life issues.

* I can't actually prove the system-wide freeze was Stars' fault, but I use Windows for almost nothing. I've got Steam installed so I can play Disco Elysium and A Hat in Time, and I've got the Stars client and PokerTracker installed for poker. That's pretty much it. The only things open at the time were Stars and PokerTracker.

I am certain there are other things, but these are what popped into my head when you asked for examples.

Edit: Oh, yeah. I just remembered another one. This is another petty issue, but it speaks to a lack of care and/or testing. I created a custom table layout, saved it, then clicked "apply." You would think the windows would stay exactly where they were, but Stars smashed them together, removing the gaps I'd intentionally left between the tables.

My desktop is a Ryzen 7 2700x with 32 gigs of RAM. I am running Stars under Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

My laptop is an i7... 9850, I think? It's got 48 gigs of RAM and is running Windows 10 Home or Pro or whatever it came with.

Anyone have an image of what tax season might look like next year? Say there’s a couple of us that actually pull a few pennies out of this site. Does stars report it? Do we need to keep track? Does it happen during withdrawal?

Do you think having chat is good or bad for online poker? Some sites have turned off the chat.
