[Pokerstars MI] - Page 44 - PokerStars: General discussion -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

So ironically enough I am somehow able to connect and play from a different computer in my home that's connected through the same network. I tried both wifi and ethernet connections from this other computer and had no issues. But on my original computer I'm still not able to play using either wifi or ethernet to connect to the internet from the same exact modem no matter what I do. So wouldn't this rule out an ISP issue?

How do you check this through the PokerStars client?

I wasn't able to check through PokerStars or MGM. I googled IP location and went from there.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Finally got it to work. It ended up being some ridiculous/obscure background process that I hand to manually force to end.

Does anyone know how often Stars has done the leaderboard promo? I believe the promo expired today for Michigan.

Is anyone having issues launching the client today? I see the small display that it is launching but then it goes away quite quickly and I do not see any stars processes in the Task Manager.

Thx, not sure what it was (it failed to launch 3 or 4 times) but it is launching fine again now without me having done anything (haven't even restarted the laptop).

This might help a few people with the geolocation thing. I am running Windows 10 with Norton 360 as my anti-virus software. No need to go into detail about what made me do it, but I shut off Norton's "smart firewall". Haven't had a geolocation warning pop up since while that firewall was off. The one time it turned itself back on after the hour I set it for, a geolocation warning popped right up. I shut the firewall off again and right away no more geolocation warnings. So now whenever I am logged into Pokerstars, the firewall is set to off and I am playing warning free.

Anyone else having geolocation issues tonight? I got kicked off like 2-3, maybe 4 times I think. Now I can't connect and got an "exclusion zone advisory", which is not the typical geolocation error. It seems I might have been flagged, possibly due to my failed attempts to get geolocation working ... will see how this plays out. I sent them some photographic proof that I'm actually in Michigan. Played earlier today and no problems ... not to mention looks like the traffic is high tonight, so probably just me...

No, I haven't heard any news about when that might actually happen. I obviously don't care about WSOP merging since they don't write hands, but hopefully, that is a positive sign for Party and Stars being able to merge soon after.

I might be late to the party but are HUD's actually allowed on Pokerstars Michigan? I've read the TOS and it's all just legal mumbo jumbo.

Yes. Pokerstars MI and BetMGM MI (party) both write live hand history files and allow for trackers and HUDs. HM3 and PT4 both work there, so I assume others like DH2 and H2N also work there.

p.s. I work for HM3 if you weren't aware.

I wasn't aware but thank you for the reply. I'm using the trial version of PT4 and just wanted to make sure it was allowed before i upgraded to the full version.
