I cannot open the link from here but thank you for posting. That's a little bit more transparent.

Rakewise how many chests would you get as the equivalent of reaching 2500 VPP's on the old system (say reaching Goldstar)?

Been on this new system for one month now, here in Italy. I play whatever runs from NL100 to NL1000. I'm getting platinum chests and they alredy changed my requirements for them twice between 12500 to 18000 points each. Arbitrarily.

Hardly getting anything from chests either, average 10 euro each. It's essentially no rakeback so stop trying to figure out what % you're gonna get and start doubling your study. You want to be winning at these tables.

The first 2 are absolute daggers, the last just shows what **** rewards we'll be getting from these chests lmao.

I've been telling myself hopefully RIO Poker saves all of this, but I was just thinking, with the demographic RIO is marketed to, It's just going to be a reg-fest. Think about right now what major losing players know about RIO Poker, none.

How long does Canada have until this is effective because it looks like Denmark has it right now?

For reference, "Evaner" is the streamer who was nice enough to share two Chest-opening clips that have been posted earlier.

https://clips.twitch.tv/ImpossibleCo...NerfRedBlaster

The "Regular" prize odds are made available to all. However, the amount of points necessary to obtain the Chests is arbitrary and can be changed at any moment as Evaner mentions.

Also, payouts for "Non-Regular" prizes are not published, are set arbitrarily as far as we know and will not be released. A complete lack of transparency but leads one to assume that net-winners will seldom, if ever, be eligible to receive these non-regular rewards.

Good question. The OPR article cited in Post #658 (from December 6, 2016) clearly states that Amaya/Stars Group is still paying Baazov his salary and covering his legal fees.

However, an interview article posted by PokerListings (from February 2, 2017) states that the "Baazov era is over, for good" (see the image caption for Baazov's pic at bottom of article).

It doesn't lead ME to believe anything of the sort, but unlike neo I am not the one.

So will Star Coins or whatever still be a thing? If not will the Deal just disappear?

Star coins will still be around. My impression is that the Deal will be around too, maybe someone already on the new system can confirm.

The amount of play required to earn a chest is personalized - i.e. different for different customer groups. So they already have the functionality to alter the rewards system for different customers moving forward.

Players earn 100 rewards points for every $1 (or equivalent) in rake or tournament fees paid. Players do not earn reward points at pot-limit and no-limit tables with blinds of $5/$10 or higher, 8-game tables with stakes of $20-$40 or higher, or other limit games with stakes of $20-$40 or higher.

Are these 'reward points' different from star coins?

Imo reward points are the ones you neeed to unlock chests. Coins are the ones you get from chests and can use them just like now.

The reward points are like VPP/FPP's not Stars coins. They reflect the amount of rake you have paid. You use reward points to unlock chests. The cost of a chest varies based on the type of player you are. Just making up numbers because this part is not published but a loosing player that makes frequent deposits may have to pay say 500 points to unlock a chest and a winning player that never deposits and frequently withdraws may have to pay say 2500 points to open the same chest.

You get StarsCoins and/or tickets or other prizes when you open the chests. The prize values and odds have been published. Part of the prize may be more points towards unlocking your next chest. Also there are time based boosts that accelerate the rate that you earn reward points. So every x number of hours you get y times the reward points per $ rake paid for the next z minutes. I think that has been published but do not have time to look it up but I seem to remember something like every 8 hours you get double points for 30 minutes but don't quote me on exact numbers.

How is the "level" of chests determined though? How do I get to a specific tier eg. "Red", " Gold", "Platinum" and so on?
Or does stars determine that on past play + different tiers have different requirements?
Surely "red" chests can't have more than a requirement of $1 in rake per chest? (Equals almost 13% RB)

I can almost guarantee we will be getting less than 13% rb

forget the calculations, consider it to be 0%.

rakeback at stars has turned into a local lottery ticket

I blame all this on that idiot from Peru who assured us everything was going to be OK because he looked in to Isai's eyes.

Received some Burger King Coupons yet?
At least we got this "want to know more?" Video which answered all of my questions. e.g.: How funny does a funny chest look like?

I think they corrected this after I sent them a e-mail. They didn't respond though, so maybe it was for all the players.

Chests are bull**** though. Paid two euros in rake, received 6 starcoins and 15 or 16 reward points.
