Yes Gold is 50k points for $125 = 25% rakeback

Okay. So how do you get higher or lower in rakeback percentage? Pay more rake and you get higher percentage? You have to do this within how long? I recall if you don't play for a while, your chest goes lower?

How much rake in a month or time span do you need to pay to get higher than gold or 25% rakeback?

Surely you were playing on stars under the old system so you know how it works ? If you play alot you will move up the levels, don't play much you will go back down. Pretty simple...

I was playing on stars under the old system but never knew how it worked with the chests. I just opened chests but didn't know what would be in it. Like whether it would be tournament dollars or cash or tickets, I thought it was random. Sometimes I would get a small amount of cash and other times it would be tournament dollars. The only time I knew what I was going to get when I opened a chest was when I completed one of those challenges where you earn x amount of points and earned a cash bonus etc. Like get $80 for earning 2000 points or something like that.

Okay so it seems to say you have to complete 5 chests within the 28 day rolling period from the client. So that means to move to the next level, you have to earn 50000 points 5 times so 250000 points in that time frame?

No, technically you have 28 days to earn the first chest, then another 28 days to earn the next four.
You have to complete 5 within a 28 day period but the "timer" doesn't start until you earn the first chest.

So for Gold level specifically, you can spend up to 28 days raking 50,000 points ($500) to earn the first Gold chest (worth $125 i.e. 25% rakeback).
Then after earning first chest, if your aim is to get upgraded to Diamond chests, you have 28 days to earn the next 4 chests (worth $500) by raking 200,000 points ($2,000).

So you are right about having to rake 250,000 points (50k x 5) in total but not about the timeframe which only applies to chests 2-5 (not the first chest).
So strictly speaking the requirement is to rake 50k points ($500) in one 28 day period and then immediately after that, 200k points ($2,000) within the next 28 day period.

This is probably a stupid question but i've only got 30,000 of the 50,000 points for the next chest which expires 22nd March. I won't play enough to get the reward so presumably I should downgrade chests or this chest will expire and i'll get nothing this month?

So if you don't complete a chest by a certain time, the chest resets to 0 right? So say you completed 35000 of 50000 points and won't be able to earn 15000 points for $125 chest in say a short amount of time. Let's just say in about 2 days. You either let it expire or you could click on exchange where it would go to a lower chest level. Does anyone know what numbers you are looking at if you click on exchange? Does it actually show you what are the exchange option going to be before you decide to click exchange as oppose to not doing it?

Is it going to be something like earn 1000 points or 2000 points or 5000 points but now they give you much more than 2 days? But basically, the 35000 out of 50000 points that you earned is wasted? But the difference here is well at least you going to earn some type of chest that is much smaller amount as oppose to you playing and earning maybe 5000 points in the next 2 days at max and those points are wasted so well the 5000 points you earn in the next 2 days would be something you would unlock?

@PaulyJames200x In your example, if you exchange you will downgrade to Silver but get a $40 chest straight away and a new 28 day timer.

If you know you won't reach the point requirement then you should exchange otherwise you are right, all acquired points would be lost for no rb.

Okay so I go from gold to silver. So there is a $40 chest. How many total points is would that require? Gold required 50000 points and I got about 35000 points but can't earn 15000 points in 2 days.

20k for Silver

So you get $40 chest for hitting 20000 points for silver. So that is about how much percent rb? Gold is $125 chest for 50000 points and I recall that is 25% rb.

How exactly do you calculate the amount of points you earn for rake you pay? Example, you play a $22 tournament and pay $2 in rake. You earn how many points exactly? I thought not long ago, it was something like for every $1 in rake you earned like 5 something but I forgot what that something was? That was with the old starscoin right? I recall it was something like you get 5 per $1 rake but forgot what this was.

Silver is 20% rb.

You earn 100 points for every 1$ raked.

Evening on the weekend and only a single pool (PLO100) running. 1 regular PLO500 and 1 regular PLO200 table. RIP Stars.

On one hand it's a sad story given the background of the site and what it stood for at it's peak.

On the other hand it's kinda deserved, because Pokerstars in the last decade or so has stood for nothing but corporate greed/profits above all, so it's somewhat satisfying to see it all come around, resulting in their downfall.

One could probably do a thesis on their "work" and how it resulted in the most successful poker brand being run into the dirt, despite their initial (unchallengeable) position in the market.
