So if you work your ass off to get good at poker you get punished with a 10 percent reward and if you are lazy and break even you get rewarded with a massive 40 percent reward.

It's so fu cking dumb its unbelievable.

It's just a matter of time before Pokerstars goes bust and everyone moves over to GG.

It's happening already and it couldn't have happened to a bigger shower of wankers that is Pokerstars that exploited their position as a monopoly for years and years.

Neither of these are true. In spins winning regs are getting 40% challenges. And there is literally zero chance stars goes bust. If you actually believe that might happen then I feel bad for you. Gonna be so disappointed when it doesn't happen. And tbh ggs rb is a joke allso. If ou move there to chase better rb then you are just stupid. Even with the 10% challenge you can get 25-35% back with lower rake compared to gg making it basically the same after bonuses. With softer games.

Dude to quote the literal Pokerstars site `our long-term winning poker players likely to receive a 10% Monthly Poker Challenge instead of the maximum 40% Monthly Poker Challenge that will be available to the majority of our players '.

I've played on Pokerstars for the last 10 yeatrs. It's in massive massive massive decline.

Volume has gone through the floor.

That's why they are now offering these challenges in an attempt to get players back.

GG has better software, softer games, better promotions and the idea that it has way higher rake is a complete myth, because GG caps the rake at 3 bb per hand.

At low stakes on stars the rake is pretty much uncapped. If you play an all in at 10 NL Stars takes a dollar out of the pot. 10 percent of a starting stack lol. It's extortion.

And also on Stars to quote the site you only get a maximum of 2 challenges a month and a lot of the time they will either be too hard or to easy to complete either giving you a very small prize for an easy challenge or a very high prize for a challenge that is almost impossible to complete.

gg doesnt have better software, although thats just an opinion

but for cash game players gg definitely has higher rake, you can check that on any rake comparison site. Its also one of the very few sites that has preflop rake without seeing a flop.

furhtermore on gg i was 'supposed' to get 40% rb but because of a 0.25pvi i only get 10%, pretty much the same shittery as stars

edit: is it known if high volume zoom players that are slightly winning are indeed getting 10%? because then its massively +ev to start slightly losing and getting 40%

The rake on Stars and GG is both 5 percent. GG rakes 3 bets pre flop but has the 3 bb rake cap so its close with Stars.

The promotions on GG are way better though. Cash drops, leaderboards, weekly cash back, bad beat bonus.

On GG if you are semi pro its fairly easy to get flat unlimited 35 percent weekly rakeback or 60 percent unlimited weekly rakeback if you are a pro who plays high volume then you get all the leaderboards and cash drops, bad beat bonus as well.

Eventually, Stars makes it so that your monthly challenge becomes so difficult it is undoable after a few months. And if you are winning player your monthly challenge is only 10 percent.

GG traffic at peak now is like 150,000 compared to Stars 50,000. GG are gaining share every day.

Most of the upcoming streamers on Twitch are playing on GG.

GG is winning and they will win in the end in my opinion

3bb cap is only on rush and cash. Reg tables cap is insane.

Also it "being close" with stars is only true for 50nl and lower. 200nl rush has a cap of 6$ while stars has 2.75$.

yes lol, he was spot on until that last sentence. GG is softer than stars (talking about 50 & 100nl that i know most of) but the because of the rake on gg it really comes down to your pvi whether gg or stars is most profitable to play

Then i guess only few lucky (losing?) players take part in it. Btw i am getting 40% challenges (though winning pre RB) so i think not considered big winner.

Getting 40% challenges and feelin good

For the past two months now I have gotten a 5500pt challenge. This requires about $11k in tournament buy ins. During the past two months in April and May, I've spent $4K and $500. I would have thought the challenge amount would have gone down, but it hasn't. I just sent support a message to request that they make the challenges some sort or reasonable or attainable amount. I'm not sure how they will respond.

Here is the reply I got from Pokerstars support. Pretty weak in my opinion:

"Hello XXX, thank you for reaching out. Please be informed, that our marketing team sets your redemption points target and the rewards. They are tailored to your gameplay and may vary from player to player. Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the required amount of the points. You can get cashback by playing poker games and earning redemption points. You can check your progress and the redemption points target at any time by simply opening the 'Challenges' section. Thank you for your understanding. Regards"

What is the "chest" requirement to get a challenge? I checked PS website and it was that silver+. I had a challenge last month, I am on a silver chest and no challenge so far in June

Anyone know how many times you can do the challenge each month? First time playing on stars in years so my challenges are super easy to clear. Halfway through my second one and don't know if I can do more after this one.

It says in the challenge window you can clear it twice in a month.

Was getting 40% offers though i wasnt able to reach any of them. Now I got all July off and was going for it, had my best month in June and now they offer 10%. FML I didnt know it was a thing. How the mighty have fallen. I came here to see if its true and guess it is. SUX!

The challange which which will fit me best will be 10.000points for $800 and which can be completed several times. A smaller challange which can be completed multiple times will motivate you a lot more than a bigger one,,plus the bank roll boost which will help you to complete it several times. Also as a suggestion,if a players can t complete a challange ,he should receive once every 3 month a surprise chest with half of the amounts reached in the challanges which were not completed ,that move will provoque a lot of will to play on stars only!

Regarding bets, I am a net loser over the years,and the most in last year! But in the last year I received the least free bets than in previous years when I didn t lose so much on betting.

I had great times over the years on Stars But in the last 4 month my monthly challange was at up So much that I couldn’t reach it. Always hit between 50% and 75% of it and as a omaha zoom cash player ,the rakeback is essential for surviving. So in my opinion the challange sistem is not right,we should receive at least half of the rakeback made from challanges in the months we don t hit the target.

Also the rewards received for Betting on sports are a joke! In the past I received regularly free bets of 25-50-100euro. In the last year received only 1e free bets ,even though I bet a lot More than previous years.

Along with romanian taxes which increased 2% deposit and 3% withdraw that makes things hard to Be profitable on stars Long run.

This is why I am reluctant playing on Stars!
Please note that my concerns regarding monthly challanges and betting rewards are shared by a lot More players as I am an active individual on dedicated forums So would Be Nice a dialogue about How to improve things on Stars with people in charge.

Please forward my concerns at a manager level rather than reply with a standard email.

You could ask them to make it similar to gg where you get 10% or something of the value you managed to clear if you fail to complete the challenge. And change it back to up to five times / month in smaller pieces.
