The question is how can I stay in silver? How many chests do I have to open per month just to stay in silver and keep getting the challenge?

You just need 1 chest over a 28 day rolling period to remain at silver - 2850 points per chest.

I have 984 stars coin, which is 16 short of being able to buy $10 cash rebate in the rewards store. Is there any way I can gain an extra 16 stars coin? I am stuck with this number which is just short of 1000.

No you will just have to earn an extra chest and wait until you get that $10. I hope you'll be able to make do without the $10 until then.

They don't give me stars coin for chests, they give me cash, so I have been stuck with 984 stars coin since the new rewards system came out.

Rb challenges are allways cash. Reg chests coins and tickets 98% of the time.

I've just realized that Pokerstars has a sportsbook so I've been making some bets there just to try to clear the monthly bonus, even though the payout odds are not as good as other sports books.

Also, does anyone know the fastest/best way to clear points for the bonus without losing too much? I generally play 18 man SNGs and low stakes MTTs. I do play some 5c/10c Zoom PLO which does clear the bonus faster, but I'm not as knowledgabe at that game compared to NLHE.

Also, I have noticed since I have been back playing on Stars since early September, the traffic is less and games seem harder. I play low stakes and I have been losing now, even though I have been playing for over 15 years and been a winner my whole life. The $200 bonus I will clear this month will just put by balance back to where I started this month at. Maybe the Covid boom that online poker experienced in 2020 is gone now and it is just grinders left? I'm not exactly sure, but just speculating.

so stars managed to miss their last chance to get some traction back from gg, no one in the right mind would switch from gg to stars now that they will get 25%-35% rb instead of 42% what they were getting before. i cant believe they are this stupid, this entire change would barely move their traffic lol but for sure the rake generated on the site would be lower since no one gonna grind like crazy now for 10% extra, 40% extra was a big deal to grind for before. so basicly everyone is gonna table select more and grind less for volume, great strat stars.


my god the people working for stars are dumb as rocks, they are prolly some 40 yr old guys that played 100h of live poker in their life and think they know how the market and game works.

How is GG in terms of game availability and softness of games? I've always played on Stars for the past 10 years because of familiarity, but maybe its worth a switch.

I hate this bonus structure which tries to commit you to grind everyday almost just to clear it. Not a healthy lifestyle to live for a minimal return. And I'm losing on stars now for the past two months, where previously I was winning.

i dunno what stakes u play, but stars 500 higher doesnt have games running so obv gg is better for that but with their shadiness with bumhunting etc im not evan sure, as for lower stakes ttheres no comparison honestly stars has most recreations and whales with a lower rake. variance can hurt a lot also, but this summer as always the games usually are worse which is a part of ur downswing im sure at a degree. its very easy to miss how often whales joing games daily and not realize some periods barely any whales join and those guyus have massive impact i repeat massive impact on everyones wwinrate, take any stakes if 20 whales join during the course of the day those guys can lose around 15 buyins in a blink of an eye, 15 buyins across all regulars is big deal, than u have some weeks u get 1-2 of those joining daily games. it also depends on ads pokerstars runs at that time etc.

OK. Casuals and recs are who I'm usually looking to play, so maybe I'll stick w Stars. I do 9-18 man SNGs and MTTs with buy ins from $3-10 right now so I'm pretty low stakes. My bank roll is just over $200 and it was probably around $400 to start the month, so the $200 bonus I will get has a negligable effect other than to waste my time.

Personally I don't get it why people are so uppset that someone plays other sites than she does. Like that Itach (that I have in ignore but it seems I can see her in quotes sadly) does. Shouldn't she be happy that regs are stupid and keep playing stars with lower net rake?

And to stacker fwiw gg doesn't have reg sngs if that's your game. I believe they run pretty good at party.

Yeah now you know exactly what rb you are getting from stars. GG you have no idea and the rake is way higher because preflop 3bets are raked and the jackpot fee for 30bb+ pots. If you play something else than cash then the above may not help.
