I only need 350 points for the blue chest but I haven't played on Amaya in months. Looks like that is the only way to "improve" your rakeback.

i did that already and yes not playing for months give you better rakeback. that said, it only last about half a dozen chest and then you get back to where youre supposed to be

I just opened 142 chests (125 platinum and 17 black).

From the video description:

Quote:
125 Platinum Chests:
$1,910 cash, 122,967 stars coin ($3,139.67 total, $25.12/chest)
14,500 points/chest = 17.32% rakeback

17 Black Chests:
$1,260 cash, 67,200 stars coin ($1,932 total, $113.65/chest)
35,000 points/chest = $32.47% rakeback

However, after I earned my 17th black chest, it now costs 335,000 points per black chest.

Those platinum chests were from old system, now after they changed platinum doesn`t exist.
Also he probably lost a lot at the tables in the last few months that`s why he got so much rakeback.
As others said, Stars gives very few selected players(usually net depositers) some exclusive bonuses/rakeback challenges.

So if the required points are now 335,000 from 35,000 that would mean 3-4% rakeback, that if it`s lucky to get same rewards in it.

It looks like it is a measure to increase chest requirements to all players with volume of playing, doesn't matter if winner or loser. Maybe it was a promotion the first 3 weeks very easy to reach chest and after that Sodoma and Gomora all together!

Yeah, I would agree with that. I've gone from 650 bonze chests to 1250 bronze chests now. Also, I was getting bonus points to fill the chests in the beginning but those declined and are now non existent. I've only put in about 6000 hands in two weeks though, so not exactly a massive grinder

Got a new challenge to deposit $40 to get a free chest.
Opened it and got $10 so happy enough

Erm, so my Silver chest was 2750 and this has just jumped to 14750. And I'm down 13 Buyins in a week, so not sure they are taking P&L into account

Seems like they released the new chests and put most people at a nice comfortable unlock to get a high reward and then realised they made a mistake and people were accidentally getting a good % of rewards back for their play, and now have boosted most people chests by a large amount regardless of winning or losing.

I personally went on a big heater while having my diamond chests cost 15k each (+2k at $50 stakes roughly) , then went on a big downer of 1.5k+ in a week and then after a chest unlock got bumped up to the 120k for one chest mark. (same day everyone else was complaining above about a roughly 10x requirement jump) - Relatively speaking, I could unlock a 15k chest in a day if I was playing a lot - for a 120k chest it will take me minimum 2 weeks , and since i am getting less rakeback I play less on stars it will most likely take a whole month for one chest which is pretty insane.

Yes, it's a big step up. I'm even getting lots of stars coin now rather than cash.

Oh well, no point complaining - it's not about to change

I have to rake 65,000 points for black chest.

Last black chest I got 2000 in coins and $30 in cash.

Is this normal?

Why? I don't play there myself but I assume that there are players that don't need rb to make a profit. They still have the best client and the biggest selection of games that runs basically 24/7. So it's more like you are idiot for saying stuff like that.

Biggest site, bot protection, money is safe, lots of table, 24/7 action, best software, no bugs, no crashes, plenty of bad players, biggest tournaments.

If you need to have rakeback, then you should consider quit poker, Mr. Losingplayer

It is. I have to rake 335,000 points for a black chest. Don't know how much I will get but probably around the same.

I consider rakeback 0% and everything I get is extra. Easier to never expect anything from the chests.

98 pages of free publicity for PokerStars.

LOL at all these ppl losing their time trying to figure out how to system works for 2% extra rakeback.
No wonder why they increase the rake everytime =D

First thing I should say is that every interaction I have had with anyone from the Pokerstars team so far has been amazing. I personally find their customer service to be very friendly and informative.

However, can anyone explain / comment on the discussion I had today? ... I am still confused as to how I ended up with 2% rake back. ( Please see below ). I decided to just end the conversation as the Pokerstars rep was not interested in my questions it seems.

Note, I typically play daily for at least 4-5 hours .. I have taken a few weeks off and have just recently begun playing again with the new rewards system in place.

There is no way they have made it this hard just to obtain level 1 chests, right?

Can anyone provide better insight into what happened here and what to expect from the new system?

Thanks!

Hello! I have a question regarding your new chest rewards system.

[Felipe]
Hello and welcome to Stars Live Chat! My name is Felipe and I am happy to help you today.

[Felipe]
How can I help you?

[Me]
Hi Felipe ! I am wondering if my chest rewards counter is glitched, or if I am misunderstanding something... I just earned a blue chest, and after it reset, the counter is telling me I need to earn 2,500 points to receive my next blue chest. Is this correct? This would mean I would need to pay $25 in rake to earn $0.50 In rack back rewards?

[Felipe]
The Stars Rewards is not glitched and yes your points to earn the next chest is based in your activity

[Me]
Alright, interesting! .. My initial blue chest had cost me much less. I think somewhere around 300 points. Can I expect the requirements to lower again automatically? .. I usually play every day but have been taking a little break

[Felipe]
They are bases in your activity

[Felipe]
based

[Felipe]
Is there anything else I can help you with?

[Me]
No that will be all, thank you! Enjoy you day.

[Felipe]
You too

Is your point here - 'my blue chest cost less than it should of' ??

What are you asking?

EDIT: Stars rb is shockingly bad. So bad it's an insult.

haha no I was shocked that the new requirements set my rakeback to about 2% ..

My question was regard if the requirements being so high for such a small reward was actually correct.

I now realize this is the new normal after I found another thread on here.
