I was fortunate enough to get a nice score in the sunday storm, having had a chip lead for the majority of day 2(brag) I found myself heads up with a decent lead 42m-24m if i remember correctly. My opponent who i believe i had a good edge against had clicked discuss deal,i told him that if he caught up we could chop, after some play he did in fact even it up.
This is where it gets weird for me,we clicked ICM chop which gave me slightly more $7380 vs $7330,at this point we went all in first hand playing for nothing more than TLB points or the title i had 105s he had j8o might be off slightly but two raggy hands.
i lost the hand and after a few more all ins i was out in second,a quick glance at the lobby and i can see he was rewarded $1500 more than me,confused as all hell i scoured the lobby looking for a reason(thought maybe 1500 had to be put aside which i know USED to be the case) cant find anything anywhere in the tourney lobby.
After some back and forth with pokerstars i keep getting generic responses that make zero sense,do i have a right to be mad here?
In other mtts its as clear as day that any deal xxx must be put aside for the eventual winner,i believe thats what happened here but they left that very important info out and it was nowhere to be found in the lobby or bubble that popped up for deal.
The only way i could have noticed was had i done quick math as original payouts were 9400ish vs 6800ish, 16,200 vs the 14,700 we had split.Any input is appreciated and moreso hoping some pokerstars rep with a brain sees this and makes it right.
If by chance i missed something and am confused sorry for wasting your time lol
The fact that you both went all in indicates that you both thought there was nothing left to play for.
However. it also means that you both didn't spot at the time that the chop figures didn't add up to the total, which tbh is pretty stupid not to notice given that you had been in the tournament for many hours across two days.
Pokerstars are partly at fault if it wasn't clearly indicated that there was something left to play for.
A fair resolution to the situation as it stands?
I am not sure.
Probably not to credit you $750 and debit the other player $750, but maybe they could give you a couple of hundred of complimentary tournament dollar credits as a gesture of good will, as they were partly to blame.
