If they switched mine around constantly I would stop playing there, as I have in the past, which I guess is why they've stopped ****ing with me but it would be nice if they were just clear and consistent and treated all customers with respect. If I was spending $1k+ at any other business I would be treated like royalty, but stars just shits on us.
I'm confused - Are you unhappy being offered $400 ?

lol this is confusing filmbuff,

like you i am a 11 year+ yearly winner, but I never got a monthly exclusive challenge and via chests i received a steady 2,1% rakeback last 2 years..

on the trial/new model i receive at least 17,5% (?? i believe silver chest is 17,5 or did they make it 15?) rakeback through chests...

thats already a lot better.. and you also got the 40% monthly bonus which if cleared is amazing rakeback... and raking $1000 in a month should be doable imo

that is quite typical, unfortunately

So over the last 3 months the monthly reward has been worth 40% rakeback - 3,750 points gives $300. That excludes the chests. Not bad at all.

This morning the monthly offer is 10% rakeback - 15,000 points required - but still for $300.

That 15,000 points is $3000 rake - which has gone from being split 1,800 to them 1,200 back to me; to now 2,700 to them and 300 back to me. So 900 down in the month.

I don't really know how they can justify that level of change from one day to another - and then looking at the forum it seems they're offering wildly different things to different people. I'd expect them to offer better rake rates for higher volume players, but this seems so arbitrary - when they're trying to say the new rewards deal is more transparent and fair.

They are on about the normal chests that are better for everyone now.

They used to offer between 2% and 22% RB from normal chests, heavily dependent on luck when you opened the chest, and not only that but most regular winning accounts were stuck at getting 2% if they were assigned high points requirements per chest.

Now everyone gets between 15% and 25%, and there is no luck involved when opening chests, and nor is there a variable points requirement, so you know how much you are going to get in advance, AKA more transparent and fair.

The 40% thing is weird and bizarre and the vast majority of the player pool will not be collecting on it, so it's not really worth worrying about unless you absolutely love playing poker 20 hours a day.

From what you have stated, the 10% one seems based on the same volume as the 40% one, only they give you an absolute pittance for making it there. Again not worth worrying about unless you absolutely love playing poker 20 hours a day.

They do however promise more positive changes in the future so perhaps that side of things will be addressed where the 40% add-on is a bit more reasonable and incentive based.

Hopefully this move helps grow poker rather than the player pool gradually shrinking all the time.

I have read everything thus far today in this thread.

I have been getting 40% 1000 points for $80 EPC for many months and I got it again today. So im not one of the unlucky ones getting screwed with 10% EPC.

But my current silver is at 70000 of 14750. If I exchange and go down to bronze to get the new set levels, will that risk my EPC in the future, because under the new rules the EPCs arent available for those at bronze level.

I can get back to silver by months end easy, but just wondering.

I finished that one in last month and got now 1500p for 30$. With 10% rakeback I will not definitely grind that.

As long as you go back to silver by the end of the month it should be fine.

You need to be on Silver Chest level to get Monthly Poker Challenge next month (November) so you can either exchange (and get back to Silver for start of next month), or contact support to ask them to reset your progress bar (you'll stay on Silver), or you can complete your current progress bar to get the new requirements on your next bar.

If players reach Silver Chest level during the month they do receive the Monthly Poker Challenge, they don't need to wait until the start of the next month.

After reaching silver chest, you have to join a cashgame table and play one hand, afterwards you have your challenge.

It doesn’t need to be a cash game, it can be either playing a RM cash game hand or starting a new tournament/SAG after reaching Silver chest level. Either will trigger the Challenge to become available.

I was in contact with them today - basically most customers now should get 40%, but for 'established winning' customers they are bringing it down to 10%. Which is a shame because the 'established winning' players tend to be some of the most loyal customers earning them a lot of rake.

Seems to me that for all the talk it's the same ethos as when they wanted to encourage new and losing players at the expense of winning players, and the Supernova Elite furore from a few years ago.
They're charging winning players almost twice as much for the same service - I can't think of many types of businesses that would do that with their most loyal customers.

You're being naive, the majority of businesses would do it if if the "customer" I still incentivized to buy their product anyway.
Also pros are not customers, without their service we don't have a paycheck, we need them more than they need us.

I really don't get that reaction. When I was supernova doing 100k vpps per year, I was getting rakeback in the high thirties maybe a tad over 40% if I was lucky.

With the new program, I ll be getting 25% rakeback from chests plus another 10% from challenges if they were available in my country which they aren't.

I was getting something like 3% rakeback for the last few years. That's a steep improvement if you ask me.

People get hang up on getting a 40% rakeback challenge, but if you can complete this and get it in a steady rate, you have to play like a supernova elite, because those were the only ones getting 65% rakeback.

All in all, this change means $2500-$3000 per year and I am glad. I also expect games to become nittier. But I also expect more games too, which is important if you are playing MTT sngs

The 15-25% back is pretty decent. It's better than ggs 60% pvi crap atleast.
All games including high-stakes award Reward Points now. Also MTTs now award Reward Points at the same rate as other games (100 RPs for every $1/rake), previously MTTs only awarded 45 RPs/$1 rake.

I didn't think about it this way.

I just feel entitled to keep getting 40 % rakeback. But the points, that you brought up make a lot of sense.

Just for information, I was getting the 40% rakeback for 2500 points and $200 rakeback. Didn't play much in August or September, and was on the bronze chests. Upgraded to the silver chests and didn't see anything appear, but when I read this thread logged back in and played a couple of 5nl hands, and got the rakeback challenge. 125 points for $10, so 40%, but much lower.

Read Ashley's last post in chests thread - you should be on higher next month.
