Good thing Negreanu is no longer with them. More rakeback will be horrible for the game.

I dont see how this is going to change much. The games wont get any softer with more rakeback, quite the opposite.

The problem is wealthy, depositing countries leaving the pool because of regulations while reg infested countries are staying. Talking about the whole player pool of course, not the cool ev pools that every reg down to 5$ spins is a part of these days.

So you are saying more rake is better? What does ev pools gotta to do with this? Majority of the players are playing mtts or cash. And what comes to those wealthy depositing countries I mean France and Spain have been fenced for some years now. Are there others I don't know?

Germans got hit hard by regulations. Im not saying more rake is better, im saying it doesnt make a big difference in the current environment on stars.
Online Poker is very competitive and everyone wants to play on the most profitable site (regulars at least). So I would expect alot of regulars to move back to stars until its about the same situation as before.

Anyone winning for years should expect to the "winner" profile and receive minimum benefits. As long as depositors get more that's a win.

Finally, decent competition in the sector. Stars can no longer take its customers for granted. Hopefully we're heading into another golden era for players like when stars, tilt and party fought for the volume.
Agreed. Competition is heating up and with the 'reversal' of the US Wire Act, I hope it's only getting hotter.

If you take the current situation and a fishreg losing to you 1bb/100 and with the new best case scenario he makes 0.5bb after rb how is that not good for the games? Yeah more regs will appear for sure nor arguing with that.

If this new system happens it's pretty close to party / gg and then other things like client or customer support will decide where the traffic goes imo. And even with aurora sheet stars still has better client than party (ff games you can't make notes in the replayer 2021) or gg where you can't save you table layout 2021 without 3rd party tools.

Most fish don’t play more than 4 tables so they don’t care about table layout like regs. Gg probably understood that

i would advise u to stop trying to explain people here how poker economy works they still think winners shld get nothing and fish shld get everything lol ya im sure the 5$ rb fish will get when losing 200 will help him rofl. its just old boomers being mad they lose online

when will people understand that the entire online poker economy is built upon having lots of "rb grinders" 1-2bb winners so that regulars can play reg game more often and win and have more tables for casuals to join. more rb grinders means more people will be able to climb the stakes . if u dont want this u gonna have the current stars economy few fishes getting destroyed by v good regs inn sseconds because the regs are also playing 4 tbls lol.

the entire poker economy is not built on rb grinders or small winners.
its solely build upon losing players. those are the players causing rb grinders not to lose at the tables. they are the reason players even start tables or dont leave a table.
everything starts with the recreational losing player, so they should definitely get the most out of the program, because one way or the other this money will flow to the regulars.
of course that doesnt mean a room shouldnt reward loyal regs since they still pay the most rake to the site (which they can afford because of fish).
this new rewards program seems like a small step in the right direction for both fish and reg..

It’s mind blowing that we even have to have a discussion about that.

The only reason why rake is even an issue is the fact that in most online settings there aren’t enough losing players around to sustain a high rake environment for winning players.

If tables looked the way they did 15 years ago with 0.5/1 or 1/2 the lowest stakes available and half the players limping >50% of their hands, nobody would complain about high rake or low rakeback %.

very few casuals join a table unless regs start playing iv seen it 10000 times they wont join with 2 players but instantly jhoing when 4 regs start playing, which is why u need rb so those regs play each other.

rewarding fish how? they literally rake 100$ for 10000$ lost lol are u gonna reward them with 50bux rb? ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) casuals have money from outside jobs bussineses etc u think hes gonna take those 50$ rb money and play poker with it? hes gonna go straight at the casino and try run it up. sure give them some eye candy jackpots or cosmetics, buyt not this stupid 50% rb to fish which is 50$ for like 10k lost

I will take that as a yes on the sponsored question. All I was saying was that this won't change the minds of any regs who got wronged by Amaya before. There are much better options nowadays.

You’re free to say that. What’s not OK and got your post reported by other users is to tell a person or business to go F themselves. That’s pretty clearly in the posted NVG rules.

Yeah well, this is like the last place on the internet where swear words are still auto-censored and the owner still signs every one of their posts with their name, so I should have known you were anal (is this censored?) about it. No biggie, much like PokerStars, 2+2 has had its days.

Oh now they want me back? The year they cut SNE benefits I emailed them telling them I was done if they can’t offer me some sort of compensation for the 40k+ in equity I had worked for that year that they were about to steal. Their response was nothing less than a disrespectful slap in the face. Along the lines of ‘we no longer cater to your type, go ahead and leave we don’t care’. F*ck off pokerstars

I don't believe we've ever had an online poker room-sponsored thread in NVG, official site threads are in Internet Poker and labelled as such, and we don't delete posts in said threads for simply being critical of sites.

Yet again the poker world shows me they have no grasp of business whatsoever.

Yes, yes they should be given $50 rake back. Because it is the psychological affect I’ve been given a free gift. Even a wealthy person, would appreciate $50 for nothing. As in your comment you mentioned them going to the casino, and that is probably exactly what would happen. As the ‘fish’ spins the $50 up to $450 then head straight back to the poker tables. Lose the 450, Then upload another $1000 again!

And by now, the party directors must be pulling their hair out, over what they have to do to attract players. Because I’m currently getting 50% rake back with their 10% bonus promotion. And ppl still play on stars and gg lol
