None of my sound effects work with aurora. Anyne have a fix for this ?

Fwiw it seems that with eu you can still play without aurora. Just installed stars again.



So I dl stars - install it and no aurora. Restarted without update.exe and aurora appears. Uninstalled stars - installed it again and no aurora. Bitt of a hustle but if I can play without aurora like this I'm doing it in the future allso.

Yeah, I'd just be worried that it gets patched sooner rather than later as .UK has already been done. Just make sure you don't uninstall again, because then you'll have trouble with the new backup > main folder copy / overwrite fix as I did.

Brotherlove9 was kind enough to help me out with a few issues I was having getting it working though, such a relief to be back to the old version.

What is the current status? Playing .eu and clearing ImgCache doesn't seem to work anymore.

Clear Image cache, go to C:/programfiles(x86)/pokerstarsUK/backup and copy the files from there. Paste / overwrite them to the main folder C:/programfiles(x86)/PokerstarsUK and launch pokerstars.exe from there

was forced to install update today and the workaround no longer works. right away i encountered problems. why is this stupid pop up keeps coming into the screen for some reason? Happens every minute or two and it makes it impossible to play properly:

Am getting the same. Thinking of reinstalling the whole shebang.

They had enforced it on the pokerstars.pt client since early 2020. Incredible to realize how despite the negative feedback they went ahead and enforced it on .com anyway.

I don't care about throwables or graphs but the question was never about the looks anyway. Horrible performance, small font size, irresponsible buttons (double click anyone?), etc. All of those were issues reported long ago. Nothing has changed.

Stars have been derailing long ago but to be honest the end of the VIP programs, the increased rake, the cuts on the rakeback were all business decisions. This one is the most bizarre for me as the engine is just awful.

And if there was one last thing that stars had better than the competition was BY FAR the software. As they said: if it ain't broken... don't fix it! They even managed to mess that up now!

Same problem here...sent everything demanded by support and today wrote them how are they dealing with it...got responce that they are working on that and will be solved with update...no ETA...great...

Yeah and why is that, I invested so much time and money into it, am a live regular winning player. Just trying to tell everyone that godly knows what they are up to in there and be careful about trusting some ****ing scum. Why would I stop playing if I am a proven live winning player and everyone seems to think it’s all good and it’s Not rigged!!

I don't care how good you play. You don't seem to be able to control your emotions and in that case it is better to not play or post here.

Same, contacted support and send logfiles, 5 days later still no response. Contacted livechat today, they said they did not have a solution for this problem..

Ty, this works for me also. I used the old solution, but after the update that didnt work no more. But this works after the update , thank very much once again.

Can anyone here confirm that you have to use the aurora software now and you can't use the old software anymore?


Also if you have to use aurora, what theme are you all using? My main theme has always been mercury as im used to it. But from this thread, it seems like carbon or black are the best themes to prevent lag? Is that correct?


And mercury is bad? I do see classic and saloon as options. I do not like how carbon looks nor saloon. Classic and black looks okay. But can others confirm here that carbon and black theme are the best to prevent lag? I don't see anyone mention anything about mercury theme which is the one i been using for a while.
