The answer that (I believe…only skimmed) is missing is that some funds, analysts, and other @ssholes score businesses based on ESG.

Dumb@ss moves like bud-light are an attempt to raise their score. Of course, the real score is dollar dollar bills yo ��.

Sales volume down 29.5% year over year. Sales revenue down 25.7% year over year.

It has gotten worse over the past few weeks, the boycott seems to have picked up steam. Drinks are sold through distributors in the US so you can see sales fall in real time. The impact to Target won't truly be known until they release quarterly numbers.

This is the most accurate reason, but even more insidious is they are pressured to do it simply to maintain their score(Corporate Equality Index), not raise it. Basically made to knowingly undermine their own company and brand, where the alternative is they are completely wrecked.

Yes, depending whether you think a 25-30% sales decline is significant. Pretty easy to Google "bud light sales" and see for yourself.
