Aurora Cannabis successful in German cannabis tender

Aurora Cannabis (NYSE:ACB) has been selected by the German Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte BfArM as one of three winners in the public tender to cultivate and distribute medical cannabis in Germany.
The contract will be formalized on April 17.
The Company was awarded the maximum number of 5 of the 13 lots over a period of four years with a minimum total supply of 4000 kg.
The cannabis produced will be sold to the German government and supplied to wholesalers for distribution to pharmacies.

Banks saying they won't finance the pot industry has really crushed these high potential growth stocks. All I see is good news and everything goes down anyways. It's either time to accumulate or focus efforts elsewhere and I'm not sure which. Leaning towards the latter

CGC already alerting investors to reduced guidance for June reporting. Down 5% today, most other pot stocks dipped 1-6% as well.

if CGC didn't have constellation I'd be very bearish. I sold 85% of my shares at 47 and 49. Wish I sold the other 15%. They are just so overvalued in my opinion. I'll look to add below 30 maybe.

I think the U.S. companies will end up dominating for a few reasons:
1) U.S. is legalizing faster than thought
2) U.S. obviously way bigger
3) Canada isn't getting as good of a first mover advantage as they should have because the government really slowed things down in multiple ways- for example multiple big companies like Aphria have been waiting for months and months and months for Health Canada to come in and approve their facilities to grow more.

Compare Aphria and Medmen earnings this morning. Aphria was hampered by the canadian government and now has lower revenue than several companies who are in countries where cannabis is illegal.

I had been buying selling some Canada and buying U.S. companies, but I should have done it a lot more. Holding Aphria and Medmen, but way more Aphria unfortunately.

I wouldn't be surprised if tilray was below 40 in a few months. People have been trying to pump the **** out of acb, to no avail. I really expected CTC to keep sliding to 35, but somehow it rebounded. Legislation moving at a typical pace is killing Canada.

Thinking about deals. Companies like APHA and ACB may have missed the boat. If you're a a partner looking for a deal, I think you're waiting on U.S. now. Watching how poorly Canada has been executed has to be discouraging for a Diageo type.

It's a ****ing bloodbath today. Looks like the market agrees with you that these growth stocks missed the boat. Or just aren't getting it done with what's available. Im not cashing out what I have left in, but I'm not going to accumulate this dip either.

Currently have tilray 5/17 40$ puts and ACB 10$ 5/7-5/17 calls

Printing money at the moment. I doubled down on the 2nd news of insiders selling and it's been one of the few good decisions I've made the last month or so.

Bill Weld is seeking the republican nomination. Of course he'll never get it, but the acreage connection will inevitably be a talking point,... could be worth a follow for now.

Lol, who do they have doing their accounting? That's an egregious error.

What's their long game? How are they losing money as a packaging company? Do they need to get up to scale to be profitable? There isn't a reason they should be siving money

Cronos Group Inc (NASDAQ: CRON), Underperform rating, C$17 target ($13).
Canopy Growth Corp (NYSE: CGC), Buy rating, C$70 target ($52).

I had some Hexo calls on TD that were completely worthless and this resurrected them from the grave. Hexo warrants up 25%+. I'm not in long shares of acb or cgc though. This might save my acb calls as well.

Nice to have a bit of pump in the space

Wow, that is huge. Definitely a big risk though momentum is rocketing towards legalization here. Acreage makes out like a bandit either way. Probably going to throw a little money at both asap

Reading each acreage share gets .58 canopy shares.

Another smart move by canopy. If your company is overvalued, use your stock to buy an undervalued company, problem solved.

I foresee canopy buying up all the excess product that will come online in canada and ship it across the border to sell it to the states where acreage has licenses but not much production. smart.
