haha

the founder of just-dice recently started a just-dice clone site based on dogecoins...

doge-dice.com

(also with the possibility to invest funds in the site bankroll)

huge turnover in the first 2 days

Just buy the dogecoin at an exchange and hold on to them if you see potential. Might buy some if I see a pump coming.

Has anyone here checked out http://buttcoin.org/ ? It's supposed to be a lot like bitcoin but I am concerned about its lack of intrinsic value. It seems they have solved that with buttcoin

It's been around several months, just was added to an exchange. It's supposedly a layer on top of Bitcoin meant to do more advanced things like currency pegs and futures contracts.

I'm not too optimistic about it, but they did recently hire a pretty well respected guy in the Bitcoin world, Peter Todd.

Does anyone know any site that makes it very easy to buy Litecoins?

Seems like all of them make you buy BTC first and then xfer to Litecoins, but I'm wondering if there's any reliable site that lets you do a US Bank Deposit to buy Litecoins straight up?

I think this has potential. And you can deposit buttcoins just by putting them in the coinslot.

I disagree with many of his concerns and assertions but he certainly does seem informed. Who is Daniel? When I click his name is just returns more articles written by him on the same site with no link to a bio.

EDIT: Just saw the first few comments. I see Daniiel's full name and also cool that the Mastercoin devs responded to the article.

I should disclose I know Daniel personally, although I read his articles before I met him. I was at a Bitcoin meetup and was actually discussing one of his articles (describing why proof of work was useful). I point out there was a really good article about it, but can't remember where I saw it, he interrupts "I can show you, I wrote it".

He holds no punches and tells it like he sees it and usually is right. Really smart guy, I've always been impressed with him.

I also know David as well, he's not really a Dev, he's a promoter/investor in it. They are basically very focused on PR and promotion, almost even more so than development, and that worries me a lot.

It's been that way for a year, the website just put it up there.

The market cap is a bit artificial in that the company is holding a huge majority of the ripples.

Ripple. That doesn't mean Ripples would be valueable, but I think it has the potential to do something useful, it's a good and well-funded team.

Not familiar at all with emunie. Familiar with Mastercoin. Vaguely familiar with NXT.

NXT seems like 100% scam.

Mastercoin is very flawed, but not a scam.

yeah ripple looks like a good bet. they have a magento plugin that currently went live. it can be found here: http://www.magentocommerce.com/magen...view/id/20890/

in case some are wondering what magento is:

Quote:
Magento is an open source e-commerce web application that was launched on March 31, 2008 under the name Bento. It was developed by Varien (now Magento a division of eBay) with help from the programmers within the open source community but is now owned solely by eBay Inc.

Magento was built using parts of the Zend Framework.[1][2] It uses the entity-attribute-value (EAV) database model to store data.[3]

ripplecoin is no different than a collection of websites claiming a coin has 10,000,000 and saying it is limited supply. It is centralized. So I could just tell you here are 1,000,000 2p2 coins and as long as I keep a ledger in a text file it would really be no different than ripple. technically you would not even need a password you could send the address and that would be your password.

245343vc45ty453dfsdssdfsd suppose that address was associated with 100,000 2p2s. You could send that address to the network and the network could keep track of the coins, no encryption or keys involved. This is a centralized system and is extremely easy to make and easy for a government or insiders to take down.
