I'm surprised there's still not much ZIL talk round these parts. It's one of the few game changers technologically (likely going to be the first coin with live sharding). It's listed on big exchanges now. It's open source. The team is highly credentialed. There's been hardly any marketing, but that's going to change. Testnet should launch in a couple days and the coin is holding surprisingly strong during this bear market. I withdrew some funds from my IRA to get some bigger bags, but I goofed up and made an ETH purchase on Coinbase from my bank account while ETH was still crashing (ETH to buy ZIL). I'll probably have already lost 20% of my value by the time my funds hit Coinbase. I'll also likely miss the post testnet pump and dump. Still, I'm going all-in on this one. Hedging bets is for the fish.

Agree on ZIL, bought that up early march when it dipped and its done really well vs the rest of the market.

there are big OTC groups on telegram and other platforms. Usually you need a friend who hardvouches for you. Hardvouches means you pay if your friend steals/scams, so it's pretty hard to get in.

In my case I paid a guy from bitcointalk 1% to escrow the trade.

For sure wanna buy ZIL but too afraid, in this bear market now BTC is all that matters also Bitmex is incredibly addictive, wanna hire a coach that specializes on leverage trading.

There was a poker dealer at the place I play that had $4 million dollars worth of ICON at the beginning of January when it hit an all time high. She came into the casino, quit her job on the spot, was showing everyone her $4 mega on her phone and even sat down in the highest game in the poker room that day.

I haven't seen her since, but I hope she didn't watch that $4 million go to under $1 million without taking some profit.

Westley, I agree with Stinky Pete. $1 million for a retired millionaire (she is 40-ish) is a long time in retirement. I know a different dealer there who said he makes around $65K a year but he also floors, so I am guessing she made less than $65K. The ICON $4 million at all time high is down to about $850,000 as I post this. HODL is stupid if you go from $4 mega to $850K in 3 months and you are an average working joe/jane.

Over simplified... $1 million in stock market at 7% after inflation but before tax is making about what she was making as a dealer NOW WITHOUT HAVING TO WORK OF COURSE. But it ain't awesome, the $4 million instead of under $1 million was the huge prize.

Average people don't know crap about what to do when they hit their version of the lottery. Having all your eggs in one basket to try and strike it rich is common. But once rich you have diversify and importantly that means getting a lot of those eggs out of crypto even though most don't want to hear it. Crypto should probably be like only 20% of portfolio.

While all other cryptos are scared of regulation, xrp embraces it. We want regulation! Once regulation comes all coins will disappear into the shady dark market like before. Thus why I say xrp will be last one standing

Ripple is working with the banks. XRP, the token, will never be used by banks, and is likely going to be worth little or nothing even if Ripple the company is highly successful. DYOR

Smart people would be buying XRB and not XRP at this point if they want that kind of coins. One is getting some pretty decent press overall while the other is pretty much trashed by 90% of the community.

Marketing XRP as Ripple is a good, if rather disingenuous move. Joe Schmoe has no idea that XRP is just one of multiple products offered by Ripple. He just hears "Ripple just signed an amazeballs deal with Bank X" and thinks Lambo.
