Scammers are hijacking verified accounts now as well so make sure to double check the twitter handle.

I'm not a tech guy at all so just asking. Is this something that brave browser could solve? Getting solid links for sites that phishers are attracted to and locking them down so there is a reliable list.
Hope that makes sense what I'm trying to convey.

I only have btc in my binance account now, had some alts before. Also, as best I can tell I have more value in my binance account now that I did pre hack. Gonna re check the numbers but almost sure of this by like .09 BTC.

Gonna re balance what I had on there I guess.

I'm thinking of shorting on Bitmex, here's the reason but not sure how bad it is. It's like betting on both Red & Black on the Roulette table.


If market keeps dipping, I win on Bitmex, lose on alt bags
If market pumps again, alt bags increase in value, lose on Bitmex

Basically, I want to stop bleeding away, if market keeps dipping I want to lose less.

If you're not in a short position on bitmex and the market goes up why would you lose?
Nothing wrong with trying your hand in shorting if you put the time in to learn and start small. Good way to wreck your account even more though.

Any idea if you were phished or hacked? Did you have 2FA?

If the exchange you are using doesn't provide you an option to sell I would recommend using a different exchange.

Why is selling not an option? If it isn't, why is shorting?

Went to Binance last night to make sure I wasn't part of the hack. Fortunately not. Was trying not peek at my account value but that didn't work and all I can say is OUCH!

Did you guys update your Ledger firmware yet? Been reading nothing but horror stories and that if not updated by March 20th the update will be forced in order to continue using your device.

Almost certain phished. Yes had/have 2fa and my phone is locked down/never leaves my side. Also now I have other up to email me if a trade is made. How was that not default? Also big how did I not set that up sonner?

Did the ledger update last night everything was fine. Deleted off all the apps too and had to re add still went fine still have the correct balances fwiw.

It's nice you can store more coins now. And when the chrome ext thing goes away that'll be nice too.

Market is really looking bad and I dont see any catalysts to jump start it. Altcoins especially getting hurt. I did just get a really good entry for VEN and a couple others today

It’s just that our Portfolio’s are still crap. Losses take such a huge chunk. Looked at my Blockfolio today and it still hurts even though I’m up over 20% for the day.

Gotta borrow money and buy these dips to take advantage of the 20-30% bounces, otherwise it’s no use. Get in & out on the borrowed money.

Neo has been holding the bear market really well so far and has still alot of room to grow. Some really decent project are going there with a better ratio of interesting to garbage projects so far.

Anyone here that took part in Winding Tree ico? I took a stab at it, althought their vision seemed quite ambitious. They came out with an AMA vid a few days ago, and IMO it was really positive. They seem to be going about their business the right way. For those interested:

"Winding Tree is a blockchain-based decentralized open-source travel distribution platform. We make travel cheaper for the end user, while making it more profitable for suppliers."

I wouldn't invest in a single ICO in this bear market, even the best projects are generally opening at below ICO prices at the moment. ICOs were gold mines late last year when you could get ~10x immediately when the coin came out. Now you'll likely just lose money, plus tie your funds for x amount of time for no reason.

Obviously there are probably going to be some projects where ICO investing will turn a profit, plus you never know if the market flips around and coins start mooning again (highly doubt that happens in the near future tho). In general, I think investing in ICOs is a really bad idea at the moment.
