Check the WD fees before you finalise any withdrawal (different for each coin - some up to equivalent $50 or more). And buy 1 BNB coin b4 you trade anything.

Thanks for that information. Anyone here use cryptopia can offer insight on this? I would want to create an account there as well when they allow new signups.

The BNB coin. That is the binance coin and i read that you get fees to be 0.05% as oppose to 0.10%. So basically you just have to buy 1 coin and that would cut your fees in half? So you don't need to use binance coin to trade with all the altcoins right? Thus you use btc with it like normal to trade with altcoins?

Another related exchange question. There are lot of coins that are available on both bittrex and binance. If binance fees are either 0.10 or 0.05 percent compared to bittrex 0.25 percent, wouldn't you be always paying less when trading on binance compared to bittrex? I know you have to compare btc and the altcoin price but based on your experience, if a coin is available on both exchanges, best to use binance?

Thanks for your wise words, but I'd love to hear answers to my question. Any mistakes? Any losses?

Oh and Ashley that sucks, I have no idea what you can do other than contact both exchanges.
EMC2 godamnit. Lol.

I was underwater with NAV for a few days because I double bought an arbitrage swap the day Binance was glitching out.

There are a few coins I minbought that I knew I should've not nitted it up. I got ETHOS at 1.38/7900 but I only have 10 of them.

I just joined Cryptopia the other day to scoop up $DOT. Was a very good move wish I put more in, the site sucks ass tho..It's slow as balls and it's very frustrating for trading because you have to close out the browser constantly..I would have sold my $DOT 6 times already but just hold'ed bc the website is so laggy..so hodl it is

Is this true ? You only need 1 damn BNB coin to take the fee down? I thought you had to make the entire trade in BNB tokens...i.e. if I'm swapping 1 BTC for ADA I'd have to swap BNB equivalent for ADA in order to save on the fees. Phuck me if it's 1 BNB token lol.

FUD for ICX hodl'ers?

"The South Korean regulators have started investigating two major cryptocurrency exchanges. The country’s National Tax Service has conducted an on-site investigation of Bithumb and Coinone. Coinone is being investigated by the Korean police for allegedly offering illegal gambling"

Sorry no link to article I'm using twitter on my phone and typing on comp so too lazy to find article.

My whole ICX pitch was the fact it wasn't on Korean exchanges yet so is this gonna put a halt to that idea?

whether you want to just optimize the percentages of coins you decided to buy from a bottom up research or want to construct your portfolio through a top down quantitative research, it would be good work to build a decorelation matrix and fit/optimize an efficiient frontier of expected return per unit of risk, but taking only negative vol into account (sortino) to not penalize coins with good positive vol using standard sharpe... all daily fixings converted vs usd and not btc...

and let us know once you are done so we copy and support your portfolio!
The more the market matures, the more institutional money is going to be the holder of the market and the more decorrelated coins will be in favor..

Correct. You only need enough bnb to pay the (reduced) fee, not for the entire trade

I also bought verge (XVG) at less then a penny like a day or 2 before Mcafee hyped it (running good) It truly is the coin BTC wants to be. Its the only real anonymous coin. In fact they're offering 10k to anyone that can see the correct ip addresses. A guy using Elliot Waves predicted $8.25 in 2018. Someone else predicted $5 in the next 2 weeks. I dont believe either of those but I would be shocked if it isnt $3 by the end of the year.

privacy coins comparison, including XVG (disclaimer, own some since 2016, wished I stayed on the full position!) :
https://www.bitcoinbeginner.com/blog...in-comparison/

the obvious winner in crypto will be the accepted privacy coin

besides that privacy play,
-the obvious decentralized censure-free social media to replace fakebook and jootube, but not much around to my knowledge besides steemit and the still lagging akasha project : https://akasha.world/

- a decentralized telecom play to hopefully a.o. replace Microsoft spy-ke
i know only of https://ico.encryptotel.com/ (disclaimer : own some)
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/encryptotel/

Please make a case why XVG gets mass adoption. You realize at $3 it would be over 50 billion mc and a top 4 coin at current numbers. With all the other privacy coins available that are already being used, I just don't see why verge will all of a sudden leap over them. I bought a lot of them at 3 cents and am currently looking for the exit, maybe you can talk me into holding though

ICX isn't on any korean exchanges correct? and the creators of the coin are working with regulators. So this raid shouldn't effect it in the long term.

So, are Americans still trading as frequently as they did in 2017? Are the new tax rules for crypto trading slowing anyone down?

Correct. From what I've read, it seemed like Korea was setting the table to basically outlaw all crypto except ICX. Seemed like the table was set for ICX to have a monopoly on the market and actually gain widespread use in Korea.

So anonymity is just about linking an ip address to a transaction? I guess I can deposit to coinbase with a credit card and the government will never know because I'm using a VPN! I didn't realize anonymity was so easy!

It would be interesting to see what percentage of coins Mcafee pumped still exist at the end of this year, or in 3 years.

A listing on Binance would be huge at this point. It's still a buy at these levels imho.
