Cashed out some TRX profits last night (actually sold at market top for once, LOL), flipped to Coinbase and submitted for a cashout, with an expected date of next Thursday. Lo and behold, it was in my checking account about 12 hours later. That's not bad at all, IMO.

The question is where are we? The barriers to entry remain quite high. It is still a tiny percentage of people in the grand scheme playing these markets. So do we still have floods of money to come in? Judging by the fact Binance closed to new registration yesterday. The weight of money knocking down the door is still tidal.

I am certainly gonna try and ride the waves. If you don't come out on top in these markets then you need to take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror.

For you guys buying coins on coinbase/gdax and transferring them out to buy alts. They are having 12 hour delays. Normally it takes under 1 hour for ethereum. This killed me early this morning thinking I had a lay up of a arb with ethereum at $1000 on gdax while at the same time being 1030 usdt on binance. While getting back to usd, I could also arb litecoin on the way back for a profit both ways. Pretty big mistake, definitely got to stay subscribed to their notifications from now on.

got into crypto a few weeks ago, but just on coinbase with btc and eth. tried to get on binance today to buy some other stuff but registration is down. Are there any exchanges taking customers on fast? I've been awaiting approval on Gemini and Bitstamp since December 22nd I believe.

Doesn't Ebay charge ~$10 per crypto listing making small sales tough to profit from even at 3x markup? Interesting either way. If you decide to continue experimenting keep us posted!
The only thing I can think of is it's a hacked account? His PayPal is also a confirmed account.

eBay only charges 3% on the sale.

I just opened a Huobi.pro account today to buy a specific coin. Registration was fast (passport or I.D. req'd) and I've already made a withdrawal. Withdrawals take awhile though. I've made two and one went through. Took about 3 hours. Use at your own risk. They have all the major coins and some you can't get anywhere else. (I'm a U.S. citizen too)

The last buy I made at coinbase, IDK a week ago, BTC was in my coinbase account instantly fwiw. Then to transfer out it took like 20 mins or so.

Am I the only one who keeps some btc on a ledger just to be able to send where I want for alts just in case?

Like buy up X amount of btc that you think you'll want to put in action in the future and store it offline.

Seriously. This is amazing.

Like 2 more months of this and I'm rich.

I wonder how long it can last? The public isn't in yet and this is truly global in scope but how high can we go? a trillion? 2 trillion? 5 trillion? So many possible things to derail the hype train as well.

Just to give you guys an idea of the type of thing that can cause one of these alts to move in a hurry, the CryptosRS YoutTuber, who caused Aeron to soar close to 1000% a couple days ago with a mere 20k subscribers, just put up a video reviewing Lunyr, which is supposed to be a kind of blockchain Wiki.

The price on Binance right when he put up the view was $38. An hour later it's up 160% on the day and hovering around $70.

The only thing you can get on Gemini is BTC and ETH. Are you sure registration is down for Binance? I thought the same thing but turned out I just needed to resend the e-mail verification. You probably found that out already but I just thought I would throw it out there.

This was the exact same line last year when the market hit $50billion. Yeah, its looking more and more bubbly but all you can do is take profits as the market goes up.

Easily this market will crash like a mfker, but the issue I have with bubble talk is no one ever defines the word. Tulips dropped 90% and never recovered yet that is what the naysayers compare to cryptos. Seems everyone's definition of a bubble is different.

I'm a noob to cryptocurrencies and I've spent the last few days reading whitepapers and this thread. I think I have a reasonable understanding of how the altcoin racket operates, correct me if I'm wrong here.

Basically what you do is come up with an idea to use blockchain tech to improve a certain industry or activity. For example, let's say I've built a system to implement blockchains into all the sewage treatment facilities of the world, saving lots of money for cities and making sewage treatment more efficient, cleaner, cheaper and decentralized.

Of course, my goal is to get rich off of this idea. So what I'll do is create a cryptocurrency called Poopcoin (POO).

The next step is to write up a whitepaper. The purpose of the whitepaper is to convince the rubes that my blockchain tech idea and Poopcoin are one and the same, and because my idea makes sense, this means Poopcoin will have tremendous utility in the future and it's not completely idiotic for people to use a different currency just for sewage treatment related transactions.

The first few paragraphs of the whitepaper is where I spout all kinds of altruistic wishy washy bull**** about how all I want to do is change the world with this technology, and I totally don't care about getting rich. It's important to repeatedly use the buzzwords "blockchain", "decentralization", "platform" etc. and talk about how terrible we are at sewage treatment right now. Make sure to talk about the poors/3rd worlds and how this idea will empower them. Also it's important to say that at least one of the team members is an MIT grad. It's a fact that every single person who ever went to MIT is an autistic skinnyfat neckbeard who only cares about technology and is immune to human desires such as greed and hunger. This adds a strong air of legitamacy and makes it sound like a safe investment and assures the rubes that it can't possibly be a scheme to get rich.

The middle part of the whitepaper is where I explain the boring technology stuff, which no one understands, so it doesn't matter much. Just use a bunch of big words and have diagrams with circles and arrows.

The last part of the whitepaper is a little more tricky. It's where I explain how this particular blockchain based idea is fundamentally tied to Poopcoin, and you couldn't have one without the other. Point out the flaws of Bitcoin and explain why Poopcoin solves all of them. I won't say it directly, but I'll make it clear that once the sewage treatment facilities of the world adopt my idea, POO is gonna go through the ****ing roof, so you better get in now.

With the whitepaper done, then I'll need to get a nice looking squarespace website with pictures of the earth from space and some blurbs about how my idea will change the world. Get on social media and make a cartoon youtube video to explain how it works.

The final phase is ICO --> pump --> dump --> cashout. gg

Just a heads up to anyone opening up a Binance Account.
First thing to do is buy their Coin BNB, to save on fees. Buy like $20, Otherwise when you sell you will be left with "dust" basically, .90465821 left from the sale of your coin, it gets quite annoying as certain coins you can only sell whole amounts and when buying they take the fees off the purchase.

Another Heads up is their fees seen here for the different coins to withdraw. Tether is a ridiculous $50 to withdraw any amount.

Wow I'm already excited for poopcoin, sounds great

Seriously though, the equivocation of project value to coin value is the one that cracks me up sometimes, so I'm glad you mentioned it. Some of this technology could indeed be great, but even if it is, the coins themselves could be absolutely worthless. Anytime anyone mentions that on reddit they get down voted into oblivion (the average r/cryptocurrency IQ has to be like 85)
