If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Even Cuban got torched.

to be fair calling a algorithmic, 75% backed coin a stablecoin is just bad.

There should be a better word for it, but I don't know what it is.

They how would you call tether with like 3% cash backed

when the day comes, is going to be fun

source btw

Also just a personal observation, what stops Tether from printing money out of nothing, use it to buy BTC/Alts and say our Tether is backed by cryptos..... wouldn't that be like the perfect money machine?

I have been trying to cashout from a pool on uniswap for a couple of days now and i dont understand what is my mistake.

When i want to do the transaction the swap option i cant click and i have to allow uniswap protocol to use my tokens.

When i click on that i can reject the transaction but i cant confirm it.

My Litecoin limit order of $123 a coin was just filled, that is 70% off the all time high of $408. Just buy low IMO, cause I understand the price of everything and the value of nothing when it comes to altcoins.

I have been building up a decent position in AMP token. It trades on Gemini and got listed on Coinbase about 3 weeks ago. It works as collateral to guarantee transactions for retailers so that they can be paid instantly. It operates as a Proof-of-stake system. I think that based on the structure they have set up that there is a lot of room for this to increase in value.

Relative newbie into crypto..what are some general thoughts and feelings towards Cardano currently at around $1.15?

So do any alt coins besides ETH seem good for a long term buy and hold? I made a post in the bitcoin thread about doing a crypto portfolio set up like a marketcap weighed index fund. Bitcoin is the clear #1 and ETH the clear #2 and after that no other coin has a marketcap greater than a few percent. After tether and binance coin, Cardano is at 2.81%. Ripple is at 2%.

Smart contracts being added at some point this year, that could be good for the price.

As a long term play, can this be a viable alternative to ETH or is it another fly by night dream play? I am dabbling here, and like that this is a greener solution etc..but the one thing that is eye raising is the float available? I wouldn't pay much more than $1.25 for it, but does have an interesting story and behind the scene players to it.

Cardano's whole hype train is about things to come. Once smart contracts come, and nothing is deployed on chain, there will be little more to hype.

I'm of the view Cardano will drop shortly after smart contracts are launched

Listened to a podcast this summer with Charles Hoskinson where he stated eta was this year. Sorry if that’s way off or w/e, just assumed he wasn’t lying. Fwiw I don’t hold ADA just thought I could contribute.

lol, you ETH maxis should stop following each other all the time in order to have at least a more neutral opinion.

IOHK has been around since 2015 and does what exactly? For the first 4-5 years you couldn't do anything besides create a wallet and send ADA. They finally added staking capability in 2020. Are smart contracts coming in August 2021 or May 2023? Who knows.
