Cause you can get 80% on Alchemix, and a number of others.

1) take your eth stash and lend it on aave
2) borrow stable at 15% or whatever (make sure you have tons of collateral so price swings don't liquidate you)
3) put stable on Alchemix (or elsewhere) - also you need to go through some other steps...but point remains

*be extremely careful of all these DeFi farms cause you could get rugged

I honestly don't see what the deal is with the token you are farming going to 0. Of course it sucks but as long as funds are safu it's all good.

I think people are a bit too concerned about being rugpulled and also IL, especially have crazy high APYs a bit of IL is not a big deal imo.

Are you saying you dont see the big deal with half the capital you put into the pool going to zero, or the token you get as a rewards going to zero?

no, if you put money into into a two-sided liquidity pool and one of the assets goes to 0 that is a big deal because the value of the whole pool goes to 0. Your funds are NOT safu.

But there are plenty of single sided LP or stable only pools (such as the alchemix alUSD-3pool). You get token X as a reward for providing liquidity. If that token goes to 0 and you still get your funds back it's fine imo.

Happened to me for the first time this morning, I put money in one of the stablecoin pools of forcedao, $force was exploited and went to 0. I withdrew my money.

Ya the og food farms were all put in just ETH, SNX, COMP, etc and earn food coin. For the most part those staked tokens were SAFU but a lot of the earned food coins went to 0. No risk, but if you wanted to make money had to harvest and sell frequently.

And then the much bigger apy% was good coin-eth pair, but tons of IL risk. That's where you gotta know what you're doing and get out before everyone else does.

And of course, even if your principal funds are SAFU, if you're borrowing them, you might be paying 15% interest and getting no yield.

with all the yield farming and LP entry/exits - is there any good software to help track profit/loss?

Looking for something other than excel sheet but if you have a good template I would love to get a copy.

Have a friend who remembered he had a ton of tron on Binance from a while back. He can log in and see his portfolio and obviously its gone up quite a bit in the past few weeks.

He's apparently had it forever and its on the regular binance and NOT binance.us (He is in the U.S.) He can log in but claims he cant do anything buy/sell/transfer/ect. He just wants to get the money out any way possible but literally knows nothing at all about crypto. I told him if he can log in thats a good sign but dont really know what to tell him to do as i've never encountered anything like that. He's right on the border of Mexico if that somehow helps.

Anyone have any suggestions on what i should tell him?

Its not me lol.

The top 20 this time seems way more legit than last time with exceptions like XRP and BSV.

He literally knows nothing about crypto but he has some tron on a binance account. Does not compute.

Crypto was meant for non idiots. Tell him to cash out. And if you have any, you should cash out also.

What makes a coin legit? Just because a coin may seem useful, doesn't make it worth billions of dollars.

My coworker's maid's parole officer bought some pretend money on Coinbase and he's wondering if he needs to get some physical gizmo to store it on or if it's fine where it's at.

Thanks!

The PO is fine, but it doesn't hurt to familiarize yourself with the options.

A hardware wallet adds more personal responsibility. If he's an adult, he can manage.

All the sites turn a blind eye to the use of VPNs. They know exactly what is going on and they aren't going to try and deter you from using it as they will lose business.

Opened a LYF position on Alpaca on BSC yesterday. Have done this a bunch of times before successfully without issue. The tx shows that the position has opened successfully, the collateral has left my address. I speak to one of the admins as shown in the screenshots below. Basically tells me this just happens on bsc sometimes and that if I'm unable to direct contract interaction I'm ****ed until it appears. Been 36 hours now and I've been checking every couple hours to see if it appears (it's the only position I have that doesn't appear). Anyone know if there's anything I can do at this point?
