Crypto is not for spending unless absolutely necessary.

Salt and the new project Hold.co make much more sense, you can borrow off your crypto without selling enabling you to get fast access to cash without giving up potential crypto gains.
What if you get paid in/earn the majority of your wealth in crypto? Or want to store your wealth there, for ideological reasons or for not trusting fiat currencies?

The number of people who get paid in crypto is so ridiculously small that serving them exclusively is in no way a plausible business model.

For those that store their wealth in crypto then yes it makes sense but only as last ditch option when you have temporarily run out of fiat from your wages/salary etc.

Arrived late Sunday night. Flight was delayed 3 hours. Checked in to hotel 5 min walk from event. Watched hockey game and went to bed.

Monday morning. Went to conference at 9am. There was a 1,000+ person lineup for badges. Waited 45 minutes. Decided to walk to the speaker/sponsor line which was about 5 people deep. Waited a few minutes then got my badge no problems.
Had some meetings, saw some presentations, checked out booths. Monday night, decided not to do anything and had an early night.

Tuesday. Went to conference around 9am again. Meetings, booths, presentations. Rinse, repeat. Tuesday night I went to the Ripple event and saw Snoop Dogg. Open bar and open second hand marijuana smoke. Felt mildly high just watching in crowd. Snoop was on for about an hour. Left there and went to High Bar on w 40th put on by Bitt, Abra, aeternity, Polymath, Hut8 and some others. Good crowd.

Wednesday. Conferenced for 3rd day in a row. Left around 1pm to regroup for boat cruise. Went to Decentral boat party at 7pm. DJ Chicane was spinning. Decentral gave away 2 Aston Martins. I didn't win.
Open bar and tons of good food. About 1,000 people loving the crypto life. Went to Marquee for a bit, then to The Box to end the night.

Thursday. Woke up feeling like a bag of hammers. It was 10:45am. Flight was at 12:10. Packed my bag quickly and raced to airport. Was at gate 5 mins before boarding. Timing was great.

Overall event was great. Swag acquired:
Shapeshift socks
Hyperledger socks
Ledger tshirt
About 30 Polymath poker chips
Various stickers
Bcash polo shirt
Too many business cards to count

has anyone tried arbing tools like https://dropil.com/support/arthur-ar...tting-started/.

Do they work ? Is it easy to make the trades in the amount of time it takes to send the currency between the different exchanges.

Bitcoin Cash & Litecoin are garbage, I hope none of you guys are still holding big positions in these or most of the other altcoins. If you have to own anything, you own BTC and even that I'm not super comfortable being long right now except as a hedge or way to express a short.

Yeah because why own LTC now when you can own it considerably lower? I'm sure you (like every single person that still owns that) know better than the guy who created the coin and sold his entire stake on the most ludicrous excuse in the history of insider selling. Good luck though.

If Vitalik sold all his Eth and left crypto that would be a positive for ethereum.

So you are saying Charlie Lee selling his Litecoin in three different installments (a decent portion during the peak) has been a positive for Litecoin and/or will be in the future?

Litecoin being less centralized because Charlie Lee took a step back is a net positive.
Litecoin tech is solid and that's what matter to me. It's as solid as bitcoin and scale better on the mid term while benefiting from most bitcoin futur developments so yeah I still have 10% position in my portfolio. Bitcoin still has some serious issue on first layer that will hold down adoption as a currency that litecoin doesn't have while not being a trash tech like bcash.

You don't even like BTC right now so not much of a conversation to have when i have 30% BTC and 10% ltc both holding pretty well and I'll gest more Altcoins once I figure how low it dip this time.
I might trade my ltc for some nano since it's dipping hard right now and could be 3$ soon

I wrote my own bot and running it for the last several months. Completely automated and there's still a good amount of slippage. It is definitely not risk free. I feel like I'm trading a bunch of small wins for a large loss. When the market moves fast, your orders don't get filled sometimes and it could hurt.

Read something that said unless you regestier your eos before June 1st you stand to lose them. Idk if its true though. Gonna have to look into it a bit more

Given Binances history of handing out forks and airdrops I'm 99% sure your EOS tokens will convert just fine if held there. That said, I did register mine some time ago.

Was hoping to pick up some EOS in the next couple of days, so am not holding any just yet - but saw this gif from Exodus about how they've set up a nice simple way for people to register their EOS using their wallet ... was going to give this a try if my order fills, and hopefully that'll be okay? Does that seem like it should be okay for registering EOS?

Edit: Oh gosh - am not great with details, and it looks like there's a couple of extra steps: https://support.exodus.io/article/69...-inside-exodus

Guess we need to have a little ETH to be able to register the EOS? And our coins have to be in the Exodus wallet on June 1 when they do the launch thingie?

Hope there's enough ETH left over in my crypto kitties wallet to do the registration - otherwise will have to buy some ETH ...

Hey Go Get It - tried to find other ways, but the other option i saw looked very confusing and became afraid of doing something wrong So was going to give this Exodus thingie a try?

Just tried to do the registration like in the gif without having any ETH, and this window popped up ...

Aaand, it didn't work - boo ...

Will have to contact support and hope they write back before the end of the month. Have you had any luck registering your EOS?
