It is going to do for them what WSOP.com did for CZR and Ultimate Poker did for Station Casinos!

who claimed it was?

In reality though NJ is meaningless until California signs on. Those who followed amaya for more than the last year remember that the initial poker launch of NJ was supposed to be a big boon for amaya but it never played out

Unless they share player pools, it is WSOP.com.

Nobody with a brain would short Amaya if it wasnt priced in when the ceo said several times it would be announced around this time.

I get it that you've had success in investing and have several fanboys on this forum but either you are forgetting graham and buffets principle rules on value investing or misunderstand Amaya's monopoly in the Internet gambling industry.

[QUOTE=ahnuld;48251745]ya about 1$ away from covering amaya. It has more downside but id like to see results continue to suck before targeitng a mid teens price. If it drops again tomorrow into 21 and change ill cover and reestablish if it bounces.

lmao you will never cover this short gg

Haha wow, you're ******ed if you actually just wrote that. Let me give you an idea of the different levels we are playing at by answering your question:

"Nobody with a brain would short Amaya if it wasnt priced in when the ceo said several times it would be announced around this time."

Ive met the CEO, multiple times. First time was back in 2012. He said a lot of things, made a lot of big promises. Some were accurate some never materialized. So while you're sitting there making investment decisions off this guys statements on the Teevee and unable to calculate enterprise value (but name dropping Graham and Buffett when those guys can do math) im actually going off a personal history and way better understanding of who's running the show than you'll ever have, and an ability to read financials.

and also dont you see how its silly to write gg when im up money and you're still down?

or did you even post your purchase price? You defended the stock strongly when I was short at 31.55 so I assume you are long from there or higher but you never posted your position.

My avg cost is 25.25 I own the Nasdaq listed shares.

Your thesis revolves around the assumption that poker volume is declining. Here is the last 7 days data on the .COM Spin&Go traffic.

$15 spins
212,214 games= $477,481.50 rake
$30 spins
99,547 games= $447,961.50 rake
$60 spins
$33,412 games= $300,708 rake
$100 spins
$45,620 games= $684,300 rake
Total= $1,910,451

1.9 million in rake in a 7 day stretch that included WCOOP. This doesnt even include the $1-$7 games which have a higher rake % and more traffic, plus the games on Full Tilt Poker, Pokerstars.FR, Pokerstars.ES, Pokerstars.IT.

lol what exactly do you think this proves?

Sorry Ahnuld, but I'm hoping this runs to $27-29 so I can get a good entry.

fightingcoward,

I really dont know how to respond to that because I dont even know what you're trying to demonstrate.

trade2win,

I hope it runs up to there too. I dont have a big short on or anything and I would love to be able to put some may puts on when they begin trading in a couple months. That class will capture both the Q4 and Q1 earnings report where I expect to see very little rev growth year over year killing the bull thesis.

that poker revenues are not declining, they are making 3mill+ a week off of spin and go rake alone.

hope we finally saw the bottom in HOS. I kept averaging down but im still in at blended $21 so would be nice if we could get there by year end. Ive mentioned this before but the funny thing about offshore is the longer and lower we go the better it is for these guys. The worst case scenario is if we stayed at 55-60 for the year and didnt get supply to come off. A couple years at 50 and the snap back will be fierce. Offshore probably needs $65 brent anyways before it comes back

just wrote this to a pm

I saw it on Friday and sold out half my remaining position before the stock fell off the table, not so much because I believe what was written but because these things take a long time to pay out, and it was a well written piece. Ill go through it today and do my own work to confirm or deny the larger accusations.

so most of it is either lies or gross misrepresentations of the truth.

seems like very little to be worried about and its probably created a good buying opportunity. id be happy to give me opinion on any of the specific claims and what my research turned up
