It took a year from 400 to 200 and now close to a 100 after 2 months and that's with indexes kinda holding up.

Tesla lowering prices 6-14% in Shanghai, Korea, Japan etc.

BREAKING: Tesla has reduced their car prices in China. Here are the new starting prices (in USD):

• Model 3 RWD: $33,023 (11.7% drop)
• Model 3 P: $48,014 (5.7% drop)
• Model Y SR: $37,826 (10% drop)
• Model Y LR: $45,103 (13.4% drop)
• Model Y P: $52,381 (9.5% drop)

Bull: Gotta sting for the competition. Price of commodities, shipping etc has gone down. Wright's law.
Bear: No demand, Tesla slashing their profit in half.

Just looking at the chart it looks like a good setup for a bear trap that could be a short-term low. bagholder fundy investors see cheap prices not seen since summer of 2020. It had a pretty strong MM demand zone around $100 back then. I'd be more confident if I knew Elon couldn't dump huge blocks at any moment....

So once the dust settled the day ended at:
TSLA +2.47%
BYD -2.6%
NIO -4.51%
LI -9.16%
XPEV -15.04%

Volume is pretty crazy. People disagree very strongly on the future value of TSLA, so there is plenty of opportunity to get rich by guessing which side is right. Good luck anyone brave enough to play the game!

And then there is this.
It would still be stupidly wasteful even with autonomous driving but it can't even do that.

I mean tesla is all cool and all, but can it really compete with that interior in the future and the tech?

Even the biggest Tes-head has to admit that the “Giant screen nailed to the dashboard” look is terrible and an obvious design compromise. Kinda shocked they stuck with it so long.

Think this is the wrong thread, try the mercedes thread. As long as every product announcement is compared to Tesla, that's a lot of free PR. Anyway, what are your falsifiable predictions? How many sales of Tesla in 2023? How many EV from Mercedes in 2023?

yea keep watching the sales now. they will drop imo.

It is unavoidable to connect this to tesla and its share right now imo.
Mercedes competes with tesla now, their shares will rocket when they are done with everything they are planning imo. and tesla share might drop because of this.

Even Hyundai (genesis) is competing with tesla right now. and you know what? they have the upper hand. (as of now, they cought up right now, and not until recently) wait until chinese tech giants really kick in.

I just dont know for how long tesla can keep up with it.

Alliances speak against it, state backing speaks against that imo,
and reviews of actual car performance speak against it. Tesla is not actually leading there.

I am gonna interpret this as deliveries 2023< 2022Q4*4. Let me know how this goes! And what will you do if this doesn't happen, change your thesis?
