It's the future.™

GM and Cruise Automation experienced a system-wide 90 minute outage leaving their autonomous cars stranded, some of them parked inside crosswalks in San Francisco.

Much like the Jacksonville Jaguars, autonomous cars are two years away from being two years away.

In a series of incidents, the GM subsidiary lost contact with its autonomous vehicles, leaving them frozen in traffic and trapping human drivers.

Who are you dunking on? No on even posts here anymore who was around when the thread was made?

I’d be more inclined to agree with you if you didn’t have blatant mental deficiencies about the whole thing

It's been a rough year. I think 1.35M deliveries for 2022 is about right. But next year 2.5M still seems like a good guess. What's your numbers?

Anyway, Tesla YoY is not too bad in comparison with the rest of FAANG...

Hopefully they will overtake AMZN on TTM earnings in Q4. A few more years until AAPL tough, so this thread can live on a bit longer.

What's the current bear thesis?

Why are you calling me out?

I made bank trading tesla which is all that matters to me. I've given back like 5% of my covid trade being wrong since then.

Lets see how they weather this recession and the publics shifting view of Musk from visionary to egotistical blow hard.

Stock price is down almost 50% off highs and trending downward, so really strange time to take a victory lap

When TSLA goes below $200 even bigger slide afterwards?

I don't think it will lose 50% even faster but it wouldn't shock me either.

Seems a bit pessimistic. They have $0 debts and $20B cash. Sure FSD might be a liability if they have to settle in the future, that's true. Their cash balance is getting close to the insane market cap they had when this thread was started. Can we at least agree that the valuation back then was not totally insane?

The thread was created almost 10 years ago. "Showing cracks" hasn't been a thing for like 5 years

In the next month Semi will start shipping, Cybertruck is getting ready for mass production late next year. As Model Y is about to become the most sold car worldwide next year, Tesla is now preparing for their $25k car, which should be ready in 2-3years. Optimus you can laugh about a few more years.

If you wanna laugh, make some falsifiable statements at least so we can laugh back at you if you are wrong. Just writing non falsifiable statements is small dick energy.

The emerald mine was in Zambia, which was not under apartheid. His father had an informal stake in it, Elon was not the heir of it. When it was sold, with inflation today, it would be worth $400k, where the initial investment had made 2x returns. So yeah, his father did a good investment in that mine, but lots of kids have parents who have more money than that.

These are the kinds of arguments bear have been using over and over in this thread. Tesla no workie because Elon's father rich. It has failed to explain Tesla from beginning to today, it will fail to explain from today to the future. And it's not even accurate.

I like how you focus on the off the cuff sarcasm and not the repeated failed product launches. That's very on brand.

Did Model 3 fail? Model Y? S/X? Cybertruck, Semi and Roadster were delayed because they choose to prioritize to ramp Y faster with huge margins on the Y. As long as they grow 50%/year I don't care if they "fail" to launch products.

FSD will go into wide release in ~2weeks. Robotaxi(the car) is a few years off and has not even been released, Robotaxi the software will take ~another year and maybe some time for regulators. Yeah, he was wrong on FSD timeline. But imo better to promise it in one year and deliver it in 5 than to promise it in 5 years and deliver it in 10.

Again this is what bears do, focus on something that Tesla did wrong and ignore the important results which is number of cars sold and earnings.
