You are just naked shorting or buying puts?

I don't short, but I'd strongly recommend it here at $660. We'd have to be in the mother of all ****** markets (far beyond '29 or the tech bubble or what we've seen so far) for Tesla not be a lot lower next year, and I think there's little chance we are.

The S&P 500 sugar/carrot/short inhibitor has been running for a long time now, and it's over as of today. That's it, there's no more carrot of that size. Tesla are losers/failures when it comes to FSD, and there will be no autonomous robotaxis for a long time, and they have nothing else viable in the pipeline.

In terms of puts, today and recent events make it a sucky day for volatility, but nothing wrong with starting a longer term position. We should start seeing sustained selling.

Woops, this was poorly worded. I of course meant 10x overvalued.

Apple's record with AI (Siri) isn't exactly stellar.

Maybe, but at least it'll be more ethical than Elon's business practices. And it's not tough to beat Tesla's tent manufactured whompy wheel panel gap monstrosities in terms of quality control.

Considering most of their technology is self-driving I'm not surprised. I can't imagine owning an Apple Computer, let alone a self-driving car. They've always been complete trash to me, but a lot of people love them.

Ferrari market cap is about 40 billion.

On a market cap per car basis, it's "cheaper" than Tesla.

I was rather well trained in coming up with terrible valuation ratios/comps. Something about valuing pre-revenue companies with valuation/BS ratios just broke me.

Monstrosities? That seems a bit dramatic no?

I'v had my Model 3 for a year and a half, and have had zero problems. Its by far the best car I've ever owned. I still love having to drive more that 10 minutes anywhere. And I've owned BMW's, Audi, and Volvos prior to this. I loved those cars too except for the Audi. But the Tesla blows them away imo.

Nah, it’s just a crappy car with a battery. Just wait until VW and Toyota realizes that you can make money by putting a generic battery into any vehicle, then Tesla is doomed. 2021 will be the year when Tesla finally goes bust!

Which we are seeing now with Leaf, Mach-E and Hummer. With these new entrants Tesla’s valuation is really looking shaky.

This is like those people who had a mild case of covid and are now convinced it's a hoax. Because if you didn't have a shitty experience, nobody else could have either.

In my opinion, one of tesla's biggest advantages over legacy car makers, is the infotainment software. Other manufacturers can make better suspensions and bodies, with a passable electric drive train. But their displays and software are absolutely miserable. Most cars on the market today, I would rather drive with no infotainment screen. I'd prefer the gauges, buttons and dials from the early 00s. Tesla isn't even all that impressive in this area, they are just a lot better than the traditional manufacturers.

So this is one area, where I think Apple can come in and really add value. If they can bring an ipad experience to replace what we have now, it will find plenty of buyers.

LOL, one of my core holdings is QQQ. Since I’m bearish on TSLA, I guess I will have to short a few shares to offset the 4% position now held by QQQ.

Tsla bulls: apple making a car in 2024?! Doubtful. Toyota making batteries in 2021? I'll believe it when I see it

Also tsla bulls: tsla will sell 20m cars a year in 2030

Hard to argue with the sense of justification that #stockprice would give. It's up 10x in the last year. I'd feel like a genius too
