Tesla up 7% ($36) in pre market so far.

Can it get back up to 2k by Prime Day?

$5b raise, smart move imo, buys a super long timeline to, eventually, buyout a large legit company in a stock transaction (I'm sure there are boards out there that would approve this at the right "price")

The BK thesis is pretty close to dead at this point barring Tesla not being allowed to raise capital (lol)

straight up bankruptcy has been mostly out of the picture since their last raise.

but there's no meaningful difference between the bankruptcy thesis and just being valued as a car company anyway. if they lose the narrative or show no growth and get valued at a car company multiple, stock drops 95%+ and you most likely get a bankruptcy anyway.

That 500c would have been worth ~40 this morning if they didn't make the offering. Bummer. Sold for 18.50

5billion is only 1% dilution lol.

One catalyst that may knock down the Tesla narrative if there exist a legacy maker that outsells Tesla in EV's over two quarters. VW in late 2021?

can someone smarter than me explain what the deal is with an ATM offering? does this just mean they can basically issue stock at market price whenever they want to?

yeah right good luck with that one

literally more likely that elon steps down to go fishing in alaska.

Tesla is in a bubble fueled by retail strength, but they will have effective monopoly in the EV market in the foreseeable future. There is just no real competition.
Valuation prices in a lot of other stuff though.

Any chance Tesla will buy one of the traditional carmakers? ~15% capital raise would already be enough to buy BMW or Daimler.

Combining Tesla's EV knowledge (they undoubtedly are market leader) with engineering experience/quality of some other carmaker (basically any carmaker is miles ahead) could legitimately be a game changer.

yeah, let's put a 40x revenue multiple on daimler or bmw. that would be fun.

from what i see, if they don't come up with acceptable leasing plans in germany, vw could overtake them as early as q1.
europe, especially germany, is the biggest growth market and tesla is shrinking over there.

Mostly I am referring to world wide sales. In Europe Tesla is already left for dead. Euro models will not heavily ramp in the US until 2022. China model 3 sales seems to be have flatlined in growth at 11.5K/month in recent months with a MIC production capacity of 15K/month. As long as they have plurality in worldwide sales, it gives room for alot room for rationalizations for the lack of sales growth.

Also I predict an announcement of a Model 2 hatchback of some sorts within the next quarter starting at around 25K.

i'm speaking about world wide sales. the way it looks now, vw will overtake them some time next year.

thanks, i guess now anticipating some "leaked" delivery emails through electrek and they can freely sell into the pump

fwiw i do expect record deliveries this quarter so probably going to pick up some calls at the beginning of october. no idea what stonk will do during september, could easily pump back to ATH on battery day whatever pumps or gamma bs and could also easily crash if nasdaq ever has a red day (unlikely). still have some nov/jan puts.

also seeing some ppl floating idea that s&p announces decision this friday???
