TSLA showing cracks? TSLA showing cracks?

Nope, don't see that happening. Bezos seems more obsessed with improving amazon, not fiddling with stock splits that don't really accomplish anything.

Bezos is making so much money he can spend all his time focusing on self driving and Amazon healthcare. When those two things are possible he will become a trillionaire.

I really don't understand the appeal of self driving cars especially in mass.
People don't like wearing masks (i'm not in that crowd). You would think they
would want to preserve the freedom that comes with driving. How the hell you
going to rob a bank or randomly drive out in the desert, make out in the backseat...
Driving, imo, will always be something a human does better when applying themselves than ai.

I think once the technology, infrastructure and accessibility get there and are in alignment it's going to take over and be a no brainer.

Your statement kind of reminds me of that scene in Back to the Future III where Marty was trying to explain modern transportation to those cowboys and they said "So when do people walk?" and he replied, "Outside for fun." and they all started laughing at him.

And no way a human will be better at driving than an AI.

Self driving will open up endless travel possibilities. It will be a game changer for travel, commuting, safety, and entertainment for anyone not living in a city center.

I've aways envisioned that when it became a reality I'd buy one of those pimped out Mercedes Sprinter vans to live/travel out of. Work and sleep while the van drives your home all around the country and arrive rested and having put in a full weeks work.

Unfortunately by the time it actually happens I'll probably be too old and complacent, or dead.

So he doesn't care about the prestige.

Except that AI is already way way better at it. Look at miles driven/death for AI vs humans, it's ORDERS of magnitude apart.

this take is beyond absurd. you will literally be able to makeout in the backseat while the car is driving itself lol.

I don't usually buy Tesla options much since the price has been over 1000 and it seems the prices have gotten ridiculous, but stock up 6% and the weekly options that just went in the money or slightly out of the money are only up 30%, the 500 call is down. Looks like selling Tesla options is actually free money.

up 10% and gonna rip through 500

Actually was up 60% so made sense to close and just open new ones.

Got almost the same price again at $470 strike.

I mean, this has to be close to the top, right? I just don't know what the catalyst is for retail to sell in the short term.

I don't know, I've also been tempted to short but TSLA has a seemingly endless bag of pump-inducing news with the fabled battery day still coming up, it also probably wants to hit $500B market cap.

There is a real belief among Tesla fanboys that battery day is going to turn them into a trillion dollar company by cornering the car battery market

Bought a 9/4 500c for 6.75 this morning

why would this be the top?
stock split created ~$200b out of thin air.
they will just keep pumping battery day and sp500 inclusion.
there's always a greater fool until there isn't. i don't think we're there yet.

fully dilluted market cap is above $500b as of today. most likely even higher, since we're 2 months into the quarter and they are handing out stockbased compensation like candy.

Unbelievable run for Tesla. Stock is about to break $500 post-split.

Really happy I didn't short this stock on the way up, even when it looked super +ev. No end in sight either for this rally.

At this point, what would Tesla have to achieve to justify this market cap valuation?

Make its 40x fwd earnings, and if it doesn't just keep saying that the next big thing is 2 years away

Potentially off-topic beginner question, how do you determine or estimate if you are buying at a good price?
Thanks

if they are just a car company, which is how they basically make all their revenue right now:
be the only car company in the world

Basically dominate the electric car market through the world. If you watch solving the money problem YouTube videos, the guy seems to think there will be no competition and thinks they can execute on a level where no other companies will be able to compete or come near their level.

He is a bit irritating to watch, but I find it fascinating and now he is completely blind to any potential issues with the company and is just pumping the stock 2 times a day with videos now. But anyways, if they do what he thinks they will do, then maybe they can be worth their stock price ?
