I'll see if I can dig up the video of her - a real CEO without the title- treating Musk like a child and constantly shutting down his Starlink lies. SpaceX is a real company with a real, non fraudulent board (unlike Tesla) and they don't take kindly to Musk's nonsense. He's like the idiot child of a billionaire owner that management has to put up with.
Please do, I'm genuinely curious to see where she's talked down about starlink.

O/U on you coming back at 16 hrs.

People have used words like "fake" because it's an accurate description of some past events, whether you like it or not. 420 funding secured, a fleet of robotaxis in 2020, self driving coast to coast in 2017, were obviously fake promises by Musk. There's simply no other way to describe them except as fake. Musk knew they were fake at the time he said them, and they proved out to be fake.

The original SolarCity roof tiles that were used to justify the bailout were also about as fake as it gets. That's my favorite example.

Tesla (TSLA) Short Selling Temporarily Restricted by SEC
https://www.tesmanian.com/blogs/tesm...g-rule-201-sec

Quote:
Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) short selling was temporarily restricted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) until markets close on February 6 . The decision was made in accordance with the SEC's Rule 201, also known as the Uptick Rule.

As noted by Tesla investor Jessica Meckmann, the uptick rule is a trading restriction which states that short selling a stock is only allowed on an uptick. So under the rule, short selling is only allowed when the price is above the last traded price, or when the recent movement between traded prices was upward. The SEC 201 uptick rule is applied if a stock falls over 10% during one trading day.

Seems like this might be hard on the resale value of "the appreciating Tesla robotaxi":

Tesla remotely disables Autopilot on used Model S after it was sold.
Tesla says the owner can’t use features it says ‘they did not pay for’

Nothing like buying a piece of **** autopilot that doesn't work and then being told you can't even pawn it off on the next sucker.

Yeah its pretty cool that the one thing that is supposed to make your car an appreciating asset can't be sold with the car

Making the software non-transferable is barely different from bricking the car intentionally upon sale unless a bribe is paid to Tesla

I guess with the amount of attention Tesla gets, Chinese gvt thought it was a good PR move to allow it to start up again ASAP? Actually not a bad idea.

For a week now it hasn't traded based on valuation or news, although it has stabilized the last 2 days and volume has come down to acceptable levels Friday so who knows.

As suspected, one of the most well known MMs are stuck with 7% of the TSLA float and will be looking to unwind soon.

All in short time is very soon. Longs are in trouble.

I wouldn't call up 150+% "stuck".

6.7% stake would get eaten in a few hours at current volume if they decided to dump it all at once. When is this info from? There's normally a large lag between holdings and reporting. Do we know they didn't sell it all already at $800+? 25% of the float a day was going off, retail baggies eating up exactly this kind of seller.

This is from the 13F reporting holdings as of December 31.

So you are right. They are probably holding a lot more than that to hedge through some of the monthlies.

Still short a bunch of puts and calls, but with IV plummeting here, I'm hedging a bit and buying some calls in the 900 area with the expectation that Elon either A) continues pumping with Europe news, China news, etc. B) does an ATM offering to pay off debt which would be bullish af for the equity.

Yeah dilute equity to pay off debt lol. If he does that they either fire him as CEO or I'm out.

Do you know the number of Android phone companies that made good phones? Better phones than the iPhone?

HTC is a very good example of the argument. They went from sky high to dogshit in a few years, because they didn't really have what it needs to stay innovative.

Tesla will be the most sought after electric car company in the world for the next 10 years. It's so painfully obvious. That doesn't - of course - mean that they are not overpriced at the moment.

The analogy is fine, but Tesla is the Blackberry of electric cars, not the Apple (if Blackberry lost $25K per phone sold in order to have a temporary monopoly on long battery life phones)
