Bears that have listened to me have been crushing it. I was telling them to get short at $300 on the way down at the start of the year and get long/cover at $190 at the bottom, all on solid plainly stated reasoning (demand death then recovery).

I agree that TSLA is insanely overvalued right now and medium/long-term it could easily be another TLRY. But in the current market it doesn't seem to be a good idea to short anything frankly, much less a stock that has some positive news and momentum going. It's probably a good short in the long run, but it would need a more bearish market and/or some strong catalyst for that. Just look at today, missile attacks, BA plane crash, SPX futures are still up. In another market we would be down 2+% easily.

The missile attacks were a huge positive hence why the market is nicely green. It shows that Iran's leaders are cowards who don't want to die (shockingly -dying is for the commoners!) and who are backing down from someone who isn't an Obama, and thus Trump won and escalation has become a lot more unlikely. Boeing plane is a nothing, shot down internally most likely.

What was telling was Tesla dumping to $453 overnight (-4%) with the market down 1.5%. Any bad news is going to see rapid profit taking as the lemmings crowd the doors.

Oil is down today after the retaliation... Im sure that wasn't the plan. If they don't get a rise from these actions they will have little incentive to ratchet up the conflict. Oil prices are one of the pros to this conflict in their eyes and its not playing out exactly.

I dont think its goign to lose 80% of its price anytime soon LOL. TSLA is slightly overvalued potentially but it has so much buzz, enery and momentum rn

The cuck Mark Spiegel just capitulated on his short in a series of tweets. The last time he did that was at the top at $360 before it crashed to $180. This is likely very close to the top as well at $495, with even two strong Tesla bulls and cheerleader analysts downgrading today to neutral from strong buy because perfection + massive growth is priced in (Tesla is worth almost as much as VW which makes, today and not as a maybe in 10 years, $13 billion in profit and $250 billion in revenue), and Tesla has a horrible record of delivering.

I agree it's a good sign when guys like him start to cover. But no time to cheer just yet until I actually see significant down move from here. A few percent down after being up almost 20% in just a week after an already massive run up is nothing.

Some prop fund guys that normally make their living shorting low-float pumps are currently circling TSLA. I wouldn't be loving a long. It's all up to the animal spirits how high this thing goes, but the smart money is definitely looking at the short-side (at least over a shorter term time-frame).

Well that makes sense, it went parabolic for weeks and it seems to be stalling here today when the market is up big. Premiums being priced to the downside.
