Morish I've always respected how you've talked your book in this thread, through the good and the bad you've been upfront about where you stand. The point was more the vast majority of posters on 2+2 are just grinders trying to talk about specific topics, strategies.

TS exact quote was, "What kind of a leper is here to have "fun" in a stock thread on a business forum? Jesus. If you're under 70 and didn't just discover the Internet, that's ****ing weird. Meanwhile there are actual millionaires wanting to place serious bets on this discussion."

But in reality the vast majority of people who visit or engage in this thread aren't making big investment decisions on the content in here. It's just a thread to talk about TSLA in general and share ideas.

I think a large part of the problem, and reason that there isn't as much high quality info/discussion as there used to be (there's still good content but the signal to noise ratio has exploded), is so many people get extremely turned off by the personal vendettas, name calling, derails, and trolling. It's led a lot of people to stop posting.

BFI, like politics, and many topics, has become very tribal in the respect that many people believe you have to be a bear or a bull on a topic and that there's no middle ground, or debate and learning, to be had.

BFI used to be one of the few subs here that very much frowned on trolling and name calling because it is a serious topic, and there are posters here with a very wide range of knowledge. People with expertise, and experience, regularly offer up information and advice here. If you can't see that you have a huge leak.

de, you are right content was a bit better than it is now. in some cases a lot better.

but after BF and then the site being hacked and down for over 7 days, the landscape and posters kinda drifted. this snt just this thread but everywhere on 2+2.

also there is only one guy thats a really really annoying uyser who adds ZERO substance(hes killing it in the BTC thread..), and altho I dont have qualms with him, dont think he should be exiled even tho the BFI would be better fo rit

You should read what other people post before you continue. It only took a matter of hours for people to chime in and confirm that there are actual millionaires wanting to place serious bets on this discussion.

The vast majority of posters may not be making big decisions. That doesn't mean they don't take the topic seriously, and want to have a serious adult discussion.

It's funny you said that & "childish douche" in back to back posts but in general I agree to an extent. It's not that high value content and that's ok (I'm guilty of it). It's a place to talk about in general business topics, the rules are pretty loose on where someone can take a thread.

I mean to not have a bit of fun at TSLAq expense given the run this year especially when some of the bears have even called it a joke community, I'm not sure what's wrong with that. I've had some pretty heated discussion with some of you about bankruptcy & it's still nowhere to be found and timing a short is everything. Sure some traders have made money playing the swings but others have been destroyed and a lot of it from all the tribalism in this very asset.

Yes, I'm guilty of the name calling in this instance. It's easy to get drawn into the mire sometimes. It was also an effort to get you to reflect on your posting style.

I don't run around bfi calling people names, but when grown men are trying to have a discussion about business and you run from thread to thread chanting " I'll say whatever I want, I'll say whatever I want, no one is stopping me" it makes you sound like a child.

Lol I believe it when someone has the balls to post a big trading confirmation on something they read in here. Until then you called me a childish douche when I was being very civil. Ok bud.

I DMd Mike Haven to ask if I'm breaking the rules or how I could've handled this entire exchange differently. Again, it takes two to tango and I'm pretty sure I didn't force TS to directly respond to me or brag about his calls.

You've totally missed the point. Reread today's posts ( and leave your exchange w/ Tooth totally out) and ask yourself what other posters were telling you.

I'm just going to be myself, we all get different value out of posting and browsing here.

I know for certain at least one person worth north of 10 million posted in this thread this year... but doesn't get investing ideas here.

I have strong suspicions there are a couple of additional millionaires... but none get serious ideas here.

ASAP I suggest you read census data... One in every ten American households are millionaires... It's not at all uncommon

Yes, 2+2 is probably more of a polarized range than the general society but it's pretty reasonable that if you're talking to someone over the age of 40 on this forum there's at least a 5% he's one of these millionaires you believe to be mythical

Millionaire is not setting the bar particularly high. In the UK, the ONS estimated in 2019 that 2.6% of families had net assets of £1 million or more. I would not be surprised if there quite a few in this thread.

TS: you could do a better job with the information posted in this thread, as others do, and try to contribute more meaningfully
ASAP: ZOMG NAME THA MILLIONAIRES!?!?11?

Legitimately amazed by how determined you are to ignore decent advice just because of who's mouth it came out of

Slightly different question from above but what was the reason(s) you got short & what would it take for you to change your mind on either the company and/or Musk? Given the stock is hitting an ATH today, curious on the stop (any other adjustments?) as well and what your plan (duration) was on the exit from the beginning or if it was going to be a long term hold/add on a rip like this to new highs? Thanks.
