TSLA showing cracks? TSLA showing cracks?

Facts are nonsense now? I seem to recall a precedent for that. I've been spot on on demand and its effects on the stock.

Regardless, I'm not even make a claim there. Conversion went like this:

Reponse: All the data we have access to shows horrible demand. What data are you basing this view on?

I'm asking a question. Bro, just because decapito the Musk devotee left doesn't mean you need to pick up the slack

Definition of thesis creep right here.
I hope some analyst asks Elon about this during the CC tomorrow.

The hard data we have for Europe (Netherlands, Norway, Spain) is awful - by far the worst month ever since the M3 came out there. The few items tracked in NA are awful too.
I was looking at eu-evs which was at 55% of prior Q and is now at 75% of prior Q.

Also someone on twitter who tracks vegas was seeing more sales.

Not saying they are good, just saying they picked up a little.

What are you seeing that I'm not? This is tracking as their worst month ever (Jan didn't have M3 fully out yet in Europe). There's been no recent uptick either.

Pretty sure the guy in Vegas just tallies VINs once per week he doesn’t monitor day to day.

So if they shuffle cars around he would count them as sold.

I've been catching up on sleep whilst driving cross country with Autopilot on + not paying for gas. Good for the body, mind and wallet! Now I'm fresh and pumped for the CC tomorrow.

This will be big news for Tesla vehicles in the long run. Compare manually filling up an ICE vehicle and paying for gas then driving in dangerous LA traffic whilst polluting the atmosphere VS. summoning an autonomous EV robotaxi that gets you from point A to B 10x faster via subterranean tunnels with zero chance of collision and no emissions while you watch a video or post on 2+2 and drink a smoothie.

Westwood to LAX in 6 minutes.

Also note: it doesn't snow in tunnels.

Nobody is factoring this in to the TSLA price today and it's an amazing case study in human behavior that people oppose progress like this. Nobody wants to be stuck in traffic hell in perpetuity!

"While modern subway tunnels in Los Angeles cost around $900 Million per Mile, he says he built this for about $10 Million."

Couple questions: What happens if something were to go wrong in a one lane vacuum tunnel; does everyone just die? Also, what do the on/off ramps look like to get people into these tunnels, because they must be massive and/or there must be a ton of them.

It's not a vacuum (that's a common misconception). These tunnels do not = hyperloop. The hyperloop (much faster, near vacuum, around 760mph) is for longer journies between cities. These tunnels probably much slower and don't require near vacuum at all (say up to 200 mph or something). For ultra high speeds (multiple thousands of mph) a vacuum might be necessary, but even for hyperloop (sub-sonic speeds) a near vacuum sufficient. Of course there are risks that need to be managed (as with aircraft, trains, and existing tunnels, etc).

Not sure how the on-ramp will look ultimately but I think it might be a large number of small elevators.

Here's a video on the on-ramps:

Here's the hyperloop white paper too which addresses some of these issues but this is already an industry with multiple companies developing the tech: http://www.spacex.com/sites/spacex/f...a-20130812.pdf

Tesla Model 3 Drives Off 40-Foot Embankment, Lands In Kid's Playground, driver walks away:

Amazing survival story and a testament to how safe the Tesla is in the event of an accident.

** not on Autopilot, cause likely driver seizure

Q2 figures today, seems like an important quarter to me. If they can't stop the bleeding, stock will likely drop significantly?
TSLA showing cracks? Quote

They will keep bleeding. I have said many times, and Musk has admitted as much, Tesla is serious about selling EV for cheap and selling as many of them as possible.

Tesla is primarily a vehicle for Musk’s all EV dream. Profit is a secondary objective at best for Musk right now.

If they lose 250 mm and their demand looks like it does now, the stock will drop. I'm looking at a small play for -~10%.

I would generally agree with bbfg that this should be an important narrative quarter, but you just never know

Where do you get this notion from? Musk didn't "admit" this, he lied to seem like a good guy and NOT a guy who needs Tesla stock to stay up so he can fund $1 billion in loans for his private jet and other expenses.

Look at his actions. Do they seem like a guy trying to create an affordable non-polluting car? No; they seem like a guy trying to get as much revenue as possible. Next iterations are Model Y (heavier, more polluting crossover) and the pickup truck (that x3).

That is because even the insane bulls are more sane than you are.

It seems to me that everyone loves progress. They just don't like Musk's monorail, which apart from being a stupid idea, takes time and attention away from actual solutions:

If you do NO+NL+SP, then hit brand QoQ, and compare this Q line to prior Q. Around dot 11-12 we were in the 60% of prior Q range. Current dot is ~75% of prior Q.

Doesn't take a huge uptick to get to 75%, but something I'll monitor.

In the EV truck race you betting on:

1) The company who has so much money they just give it back to shareholders and have a ton of experience building trucks

or:

2) The company that loses over a billion $ a year and has to go begging shareholders for money periodically and wheels fall off their cars with no excess load.

Maybe Musk is just a marketing genius. Isn't this whole "media bashing Tesla" essentially a deliberate marketing strategy created by Musk? To some extent, any publicity is good publicity and Musk courting controversy is causing all these news articles for and against Tesla and thousands of internet commentators passionately arguing for and against Tesla, all of which nets free publicity for Tesla. He's created this dynamic where a lot of people have strong feelings, for or against him and caused arguments to spring up all over the internet between these factions, which is generally helpful given that for many corporations, even awareness is fairly expensive to buy. Even this thread - see how many replies it has. It appears that we're all just crowdsourced marketing drones in his game.

Musk also changed the narrative to deliveries with his email leaks. He is going to string this out for years.

If Tesla had stayed private, it would have avoided so many problems...

I do think there should be a formal (legal) method to disavow the profit motive for a public company though...
