Are those the same "parking lot truthers" that demonstrated the Q1 demand cliff in real time?

Yesterday, while waiting in line for the Avengers movie, I noticed the theater was offering a combo pack – $12 for a large bucket of popcorn and a large soda. An idea sprung into my head: What if I bought the combo pack and sold half of the large Diet Coke to the next person in line? I would be left with half of the large soda, which is the same size as the medium that I wanted in the first place. To make it worth his while, I could sell it to him for the discounted price of $3.

This would be a good deal for both of us. I would be left with my bucket of popcorn (worth $8) and a medium soda (worth $6) and would pay just $9 for it after my side transaction. And the guy behind me would get a medium soda for half the price. Only the theater would lose out... It should have received $14 from me and $6 from my new friend but would ultimately get just $12.

Why am I telling you this story?
great question imo

So, OK. Let me make sure I'm getting this right. You're saying that Goldman Sachs is making money on this capital raise?

Basically unprecedented, right?

More layoffs, but it's to expand their service:

"We were surprised to hear from sources that Tesla was letting go some employees in the service teams at several locations today because the automaker claims to be focusing on expanding its service coverage"

https://electrek.co/2019/06/13/tesla...uring-layoffs/

So they're expanding their already inadequate service by firing people.

Who still owns this stock? I know a lot of institutions have been selling but clearly there are still some large institutions holding/buying. How much of the float is legitimate fanboy retail?

Just thinking about who has to sell to cause it to go down.

This is saying 77% institutional as of 4-30 down from a peak of 85% last year:

Deliveries for Q2 likely going to exceed 80k. I think that will pump the stock, so if you are thinking of entering it seems like sometime between the deliveries number and the Q2 earnings call would be a good time

Puts deliveries at about 700 a day the past month after musk called for 1000 to break the record. 700 a day still seems like a lot though. Should be close to 80k

Should we expect a dropoff the last week of the month due to people wanting subsidy ordering early in month?

Meh, the order rate seems to have dropped off weeks ago but they still have a lot of deliveries to make from April/May orders.

If they have substantial extra inventory they might push even more discounts and special deals. A few big discount reports have popped up on tmc already.

Aaaaand here we go. Temporary sale on black Teslas which are increasing in price $1,000 next month as Tesla introduces a new "standard color" of white.

And you thought the "Pearl white multi coat" cars had paint problems? Just wait!

Second-quarter deliveries ‘fine,’ but there’s nothing more to stoke demand this year...Goldman bears lower pt to $158

Shame about the market as this would have been a nice short in a non-moon-ripping market. As it was it wasn't worth taking.

Meanwhile, there's a gaggle of very angry cucks on Twitter, pissed at Goldman. The comments are pretty hilarious.

One TSLAQ figure estimating 93k:

I've found this guy to be unreliable on some stuff in the past, but very good on others. To be expected from educated guesses though.

Holy cow. I took at look at the TMC forum to see what their mood is like these days. Here are 2 posts from this morning. These guys are totally unhinged.

This guy obviously knows how stock prices work:

Quote:
This is so screwed up! The shorts can just dump a truckload of shares to drive the price down, then cover at a lower price and rake in a nice profit to finance their next attack.

On the other side, all we can do is buy and hold and cross our fingers in the hope the stock price recovers. We are at the mercy of the short sellers, where is the fairness in that?
This guy doesn't just think it's "the shorts" out to get Tesla, it's Mossad!

So, now that we have evidence of Israeli spy/propaganda agents running hit pieces on Tesla, and noticing that Seeking Alpha (home of anti-Tesla hit pieces) is run out of Israel, does anyone have *any idea* why Israeli spy agencies would be hostile to Tesla?!?! Motivations of Saudi Arabia and Russia are clear, but motivations of Israeli government?!?

They are going to fall 5-8k short. Elektrek "source" admits as much. Not that it really matters.

Unless they can sell 90k with Q3 prices and mix which they cannot.

The M3 was structured around 10k per week or 500k per year production and deliveries.

"Record" quarters of 90k are a disaster in that context. Every quarter should be a record in a growth company.

Report: Tesla is secretly developing its own battery technology, in a blow to Panasonic

If its such a secret, how'd this rag find out about it? Musk should start a pay-per-minute hotline with Miss Cleo, only 9.99/min and you'll get all the leaks before the media does, call now!

Spacex raising. Surprised they didn't bundle the raise with Tesla's raise for a discount.

For those unfamiliar with raises, a note came out saying the previous spacex raise had a Sr liquidation preference meaning it would be paid back first before any debt or equity holders AND participated as equity on any upside.

While this isn’t uncommon, a company struggling to fill when offering a liquidation preference is very telling.

It also means the valuation number is nearly meaningless
