They stay long cause of days like today and Musk-can-do-no-wrong-permabelief.

That will never change, even in ch11 bankruptcy with equity nearly wiped out they will be buying $TSLAQ as a bargain.

If Musk designed something like an autonomous minivan that doubled down as a tiny home, at least the longs would have a place to live in a few years.

In all seriousness that would actually be a great product for Tesla. Tiny smart home with integrated solar and battery storage.

The people who would want one can't afford one

It just sounds like an electric RV with solar panels in addition to the usual charger... maybe that will get some additional mileage?

This is like the guy at the poker table blaming the fish for playing so bad that he loses.

Stock will retract over the next 18 months, but afterwards it will be a good ride. Other car companies are getting wrecked daily. There is no mention of this ITT and that's what is clouding your judgement.

What a farce. Dow Jones news wire:
Quote:
"Tesla Advances in China, Buying Land Purchase for a Factory" at 6:10 a.m. ET incorrectly stated the time period for how long it will take the plant to ramp up its production. Telsa's new facility in Shanghai is intended to produce up to 500,000 cars a year by the end of the plant's first decade, not by the end of this decade.
500K by 2029 instead of 2019? And the story uncorrected for six hours.

This is garden variety penny stock fraud.

You'd also have to be a special kind of moron (tsla bull) to believe they could get to that production level by the end of this decade

Much of Wall Street believed his 5K/week by end of 2017, 10K/week by end of 2018 Model 3.

I guess it's obvious to a wider group of people now that Elon Musk is a liar, loser and fraud, but probably not half yet.

Musk drops a "lemur" for today ($2 billion factory announcement in Shanghai reported on Reuters as top news an hour ago), doesn't even hit stock newswire, stock goes down.

I think it's the 10th such announcement in a few years. Nice that the market is getting wise to Musk being a conman/loser.

Or maybe it's something else. Giving his history of being a bull**** artist, we'll see what happens. Musk meltdown if it doesn't go his way.

There are a lot of "special" Tesla longs.

What's remarkable is that many are in tech (guaranteed >110 IQ), and yet they're incredibly dumb and gullible. I guess Elon has tapped the "sad nerd needs a hero" side and they're just influenced by that. It's weird though, I don't get how that overwhelms your basic rationality. You have to be a little daft to start with.

I wouldn't say most are in tech, i find most to be average middle class people who buy into the "mission"

The gullible part is dead on

Completely disagree. Most big Tesla fans are in tech or engineering and making decent money. The heltoks of the world are propping up the stock.

There is literally nothing to support a long position. Regardless of their collective intelligence, Tesla bulls are Musks lackeys.

I think it's got a lot to do with environmental virtue signalling - he's the charismatic figurehead of a low carbon future.
