lol @ that NYT article, they clearly have a source on the board who is salty.

My god would have been amazing if Elon "quit on the spot" - stock gets cut in half. Then 24 hrs later he returns and it pumps back to 300, carnage on both sides.

...but they didn't fight the SEC. They took a worse deal than the original one.

It's all relative.

The stock price when they made the deal made it a significantly better deal at the time compared to the situation when they declined.

Diagnosing dementia and determining what type it is can be challenging. A diagnosis of dementia requires that at least two core mental functions be impaired enough to interfere with daily living. They are memory, language skills, ability to focus and pay attention, ability to reason and problem-solve, and visual perception.

Your doctor will review your medical history and symptoms and conduct a physical examination. He or she will likely ask someone close to you about your symptoms, as well.

No single test can diagnose dementia, so doctors are likely to run a number of tests that can help pinpoint the problem.

Cognitive and neuropsychological tests
Doctors will evaluate your thinking (cognitive) function. A number of tests measure thinking skills such as memory, orientation, reasoning and judgment, language skills, and attention.

Neurological evaluation
Doctors evaluate your memory, language, visual perception, attention, problem-solving, movement, senses, balance, reflexes and other areas.

Brain scans
CT or MRI. These scans can check for evidence of stroke or bleeding or tumor or hydrocephalus.
PET scans. These can show patterns of brain activity and if the amyloid protein, a hallmark of Alzheimer's disease, has been deposited in the brain.
Laboratory tests
Simple blood tests can detect physical problems that can affect brain function, such as vitamin B-12 deficiency or an underactive thyroid gland. Sometimes the spinal fluid is examined for infection, inflammation or markers of some degenerative diseases.

Psychiatric evaluation
A mental health professional can determine whether depression or another mental health condition is contributing to your symptoms.

OK, it must be a coincidence then, that you think you can diagnose dementia from watching someone on tv, just after cnn/ msnbc start pushing the fake narrative.
Let's agree to disagree, and get back to Tesla.
Peace out.

As discussed months ago, Musk's knowing lies about 2017 production projections, knowing lies about the current status of the production line, and the 8K right before a bond issue is open and shut criminal fraud. This is very succinct summary.

He should go to prison for this. Lying on a loan application to obtain $100K is criminal fraud with jail time. Both he and the board lied on a $1.8 billion bond offering.

Worth noting the bonds are trading at 85 now

Really funny tweet the other day where a bull said the bonds were up 4% on settlement news, another bull said "where do you find this" and a different bull said "the shorts told us today"

I laughed a bunch

To me, this reads like a formality requirement more than anything. Just seems like something this particular judge at this particular court does at all times.

Totally normal. It’s probably already drafted just waiting for a rubber stamp before getting filed.

Dickhead,
That article was written by the guy who did the tracker. He was claiming 6000/week at one point when they were making 3500/week and then when the real numbers were leaked in early September, he reduced it to 2000 the last few weeks of the quarter (just as wrong as 6000/week) so the numbers all worked.

I actually recommended a trade, quoted below, on the Bloomberg tracker being completely out of whack with reality, which turned out to be spot on:

28th of August, right as the tracker peaked and the bulls were ecstatic about Tesla reaching 6200/week (which it never got anywhere)

Loony uninformed bulls were previously thinking: "Yeah the go private was weird and it sucks, but production is at 6200/week and climbing, all this crap doesn't matter. Profitable Q3!" thanks to the pure fake news Bloomberg tracker. Now the reality: production is 3600/week so far for the first two months of this quarter, and dropping.

This or next week puts are good trades here with the stock at $313. >80% chance of getting paid here imo.
And that's exactly what happened by the tracker's own images:

Tesla never produced 6000/week and they certainly didn't produce 2000/week for the few weeks at the end of quarter (production ramped up to the end of quarter). The tracker was always very, very wrong while the bears were spot on.

But you ignore all that. You're a dickhead with a non-functioning brain, so you think a proven horribly inaccurate tracker (by its own graphs!!!) fudged down in the last few weeks and then touted by its own creator to match leaked numbers is accurate. Amazing stuff.

No wonder frauds and cults exist when total morons like yourself exist.

You called something that was spot on and has a solid track record Fake News, because you cannot stand the fact that your Twitter friends are not based in reality.

It's besides the point that the model has discrepancies to weekly numbers from time to time, it's an estimate after all. The track record itself is fantastic though. You just want it to be fake news.

He's out of his goddam mind. And where's the group "approving his tweets"? The SEC should kill the deal on that tweet alone, amazing.

and lol the stock is down $5 in afterhours RIGHT after that tweet.

It predicted quite well the total number of cars produced this quarter. Of course, a model is gameable when you significantly change something that has a large impact on the underlying assumptions. Nonetheless, it was neither fake news nor a terrible prediction. It was actually spot on for the quarter.

OK, you are completely mentally gone. Read my post above over and over until the penny drops in your tiny deranged brain. The tracker was not accurate on any week in the last 1.5 months. Once the numbers were leaked in early September he understated the final four weeks by 2000/week just like he overstated the previous 4 weeks by 2000/week. Then he claims it's "accurate" because either the VINs aligned perfectly at end of quarter in a pure fluke, or fudged it after the fact to match the leaked numbers and match his massive overstatement. At no time before we knew the numbers did it give accurate numbers.

How is this not crystal clear to you? It's there in black and white on the graph on their website. Their horrible projection are actually recorded in real time in the history of the graph. Is your mind ****ed or something?

I guess your're having a meltdown like Musk is right now

Cognitive dissonance is a *****, bro.

Live footage of Musk and the Tesla board's message to the SEC:

Again, for us this represents a historical moment in the annals of corporate governance and an epic embarrassment to the capital markets.

For Musk and Tesla's BoD, it's just another day in the clownshow that is Tesla.

Stock price still >$270. Stock price bro! BTFD.

no wonder he's losing it.

this year they have pulled every accounting and stock promotion trick imaginable, added tons in legal liability, did serious damage to the company, basically stopped all capex and worked through the whole profitable m3 backlog - all to prop up the stockprice.

yet, in a record bull market, here we are - down 10% for the year.

this company is toast.

What do you guys think of a Synthetic Short on Tesla? Buying a put and selling a call at the same strike to get the same exposure as a short position.

Advantages are that you don't have to pay short borrow rates, and you can't be forced to buy back your short because the lender of the shares requests them back.

Disadvantages are that you need a high options approval level to sell a call, the options expire and may need to be rolled over and eat a spread, and you are less liquid.

Not sure about the margin requirements

Meh I'd push back on the record bull market related to TSLA specifically, want to pull up auto stock charts both domestic and globally? How about tech stocks, chip stocks with exposure this space? To suggest only TSLA is having momentum issues both on an absolute and relative basis would be a fairly narrow viewpoint imo. If you want to take a look at an auto company and real capital destruction, check out TATA lol. Want to own F? Of course you don't... TSLA maybe "toast" as you say but you really need to see it decouple even from its own immediate competition.
