TSLA showing cracks? TSLA showing cracks?

Even if the Saudis flew a plane filled with 80B in cash to the Tesla parking lot there's still a lot of factors that would leave this far from certain.

yeah, that should be quite obvious to most people but...
that's not what elon said. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

no one forced him to say that. hundreds of millions of $ were traded on that statement.

That's why securities laws are specific on what you can and cannot say.

About $13 billion turned over between the offending tweets and the clarification blog this morning. Musk is probably on the hook for the losses on both sides (long and short) for anyone who lost money on any transaction between the tweets and his blog post this morning. A company/CEO is liable for market participant's losses arising from a false statement of a material fact until corrected.

so maybe there is an out for both us shorts and longs to freeroll this?

Im laughing at the idea of being in due diligence and going through reps and warranties and representing the 14 lawsuits created because the ceo tweeted funding secured already.

Saudis should bury him right now but i guess they have a stake to protect

yeah, thats my fear too,, but as someone who has been shorting stocks for 20 years.. this feels like the correct play. yeah, elon could in fact mastermind dumping tsla off to the saudis at that price,, but i think it goes the other way , and with the odds offered on scenario two.. i gotta take it.

Ya the obviousness is what scares me

I hedged a little but i have a sizeable bet on this, part of me never wants it to end tho, the whole thing is hilarious.

It's a cult stock driven by the media deification of Musk over the years and popular delusion that rockets are easier to make than cars. The more ridiculous and fraudulent it gets, the more the sane holders sell and you're just left with the losers who believe insane things (like heltok did two years ago) such as that Tesla is about to make billions of dollars a year profit in "energy" or take over self driving despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

On the other side you have shorts who keep hair trigger covering, providing more capital inflows and more validation to the story side when it rips on their short squeezes.

It's a cluster**** of human psychology.

How does it get unclustered? The longer it goes on, the harder it is, but it's either impeding bankruptcy or criminal charges. The former is pretty close if they can't raise.

Is it me, or does the blog post very carefully avoid linking the 420 price and the saudi "support" as 2 things.

As in the saudis never agreed to 420 but did agree to some sort of assistance in going private?

It clearly is written w legal help, but it states HE wanted to take the company private at 420 w an existing SH who wanted to remain private.

Later it says the saudis were supportive of the idea to move forward.

The again later it just denies that 70b would be needed to fund the buyout @ 420.

It definitely avoids linking the saudis and the 420 price.

Or am i just crazy?

I mean it's very obvious that 70 billion wouldn't needed to fund the buyout. The total market cap at 420 would be 70.6 billion. Musk and the Saudis would hold onto their shares, that's 18 billion right there.

Musk is gonna have to sell a lot of that to pay off all the lawsuits

azealia banks is 100% out of her mind, but in this instance i choose to support her statements with the utmost confidence because it would be so funny if she's telling the truth.

As part of this deal would the Saudis provide operating cashflow in the interim?

This poor sap had his bumper fall off on the way home from picking up his M3. One of the commenters showed a picture of his M3, same thing. I think that's the 3rd one of these I've heard about:

Loved one of the comments:

"Bumper secured"

1. Where did you gain this understanding?
2. What specific IP do you have in mind?
3. What dollar value would you say this IP has on the open market?

This is some crazy stuff going on in this thread.

Has tesla given any explanation for the model 3s sitting in the lot? What is the approx car count there? How far is this lot from the factory? Nothing makes sense to me. Maybe I'll jump on the 2020 200 puts for the lolz.
