Re: TSLA showing cracks?

Lol, board inquiring about financing from musk to determine if they should launch a "formal review" of his plan.

What a circus

Am i biased or does that look like legal posturing?

Re: TSLA showing cracks?

This is nuts:

Tesla Board Confirms It Never Saw "Financing Plan" From Musk On Going Private Deal

Quote:
And here is the punchline: While Tesla's board has held multiple discussions about the proposal - as it documented in its statement on Wednesday - it has "not yet received a detailed financing plan from Musk and specific information on who will provide the funding."
Two days after tweeting out to the world that tens of billions of dollars in financing is a done deal and settled and that the only thing left for a go-private is shareholder approval, the board has not been told who's providing the financing.

Pretty sure the next step is to actually attach a name or names to the funding source (which turn out to be all false of course).

Re: TSLA showing cracks?

Musk just needs to convince current shareholders to trade their shares in for what amounts to non-voting and unlisted shares.

A lot of current shareholders.

If the NXIVM cult leader can convince dozens of B and C list actresses to brand their genitals and become his sex slaves, Musk should have no problem convincing Tesla cult followers devotees to pay $70 above current market prices for the privileges you mention.

Re: TSLA showing cracks?

There are reasons why the stock didn't even touch 390. Musk's endless lying and erratic behaviour to start with.
I wouldn't be surprised if he actually thinks that he can get tens of billions in cash easily and in fact will do the financiers a favour.

How does that not absolutely prove stock price manipulation?

Re: TSLA showing cracks?

Beautiful stuff.

With no cash left and desperately cutting capex which means no M3 ramp and no Model Y in sight, he couldn't hype the M3 ramp or Model Y any more, so he did the old donkey carrot trick again:

Your average Tesla investor

Classic confidence man. Open big with a lie ("funding secured") and a shiny fake target ($420). Play people's FOMO ("I don't want miss out on $420!"). Assuage all their concerns with lies ("Anyone who wants to keep their stock, can!", "funding secured!"). Attack the evil shorts for trying to tear down his noble company (every good con needs a devil trying to harm their noble selfless goal).

Then, leverage those lies (fake "funding secured") - into an offering to join this "funding secured" investment at $420, because he wants to get a "wide investors pool" to "avoid concentration of ownership".

This is stock fraud on such an epic scale, and so blatant, he now has a big SEC target on his back. They can't ignore it. This is certainly their top priority case now.

Previous Musk donkey carrot FOMOs (look at the shiny object! If you sell now you'll miss out!):

- Permanently profitable claimed in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018
- "Fully Self Driving" features coming in "3 months possibly, 6 months definitely" - January 2017
- 5000 M3s/week by the end of 2017 [knowingly false statement]
- Machine that builds the machines/air friction limited robot factory that outdoes the majors
- Beautiful solar roofs (they were mocked up frauds that didn't even exist).
- 2 years for full autonomy in 2015

Quote:
Producing a fully autonomous vehicle that can operate in any condition and on any road, for example, is easy-ish. And Tesla Motors (tsla, +0.27%), the all-electric automaker that Musk heads, is two years away from achieving it.
There are dozens.

One of the best frauds of the 21st century so far. No quite as impressive as Madoff, but a solid #2 imo.

I guess it's a race now between the SEC and high end Model 3 demand drying up. My guess is the SEC has to act strongly and swiftly after such a public, high level, blatant stock fraud, but who knows.

If the details of that Bloomberg piece can be verified I don't see how the SEC isn't having the indictment drawn up as we speak.

Pretty much.

Blatant stock fraud, doubled and tripled down on +

The board and Tesla's leaks to the press has given them probable cause for a warrant and to compel answering of questions by the company's officers. Or straight to an indictment frankly.

There's no wiggle room here. The only question is how fast this will move. There's both criminal liability and civil liability of potentially billions on both the long and short side given that >$10 billion turned over on these lies.

defcon, a hacker convention started yesterday and the tweet says something like 'hacker says what?'. it wouldn't surprise me if it was an actual hacked tweet made to show off for friends at the convention. it could also be elon trying to be cool and show his affiliation with the hackers.

I'm probably one of the few who believes Uber is a net negative for the world. The number of educated people who are now taxi drivers is astounding, and it will be hard for them to quit, when all they have to do is turn the app on and go make 20 bucks. Tesla, though a scam of a business, might actually have contributed something in the process.

The world was fine without Uber. Musk is a nightmare, but Tesla is a mini miracle for getting as far as it did (without profit, of course, but then again GM went to zero and Ford is at 9 bucks, which isn't higher than 8 or 9 years ago). There aren't too many profitable car companies (without bailouts).

Your argument is some cult-like clown in black tshirt and a sport coat spouting off on youtube?

Could you be any more of a thought-free loser?

Musk has already committed securities fraud. He made material statements of fact which are false. The board has confirmed this. "The only reason it's not certain is it requires a shareholder vote" is a false material statement. Six board members signed a letter saying that he only discussed it last week. The board has confirmed that Elon has provided them no financing plan and no source of financing.

Your video: worthless creepy clown on youtube.
