She was warned by people on the street her car was exploding.

All of Musk’s time is donated to pumping the stock because his life depends on it.

The fact that he spends all day replying to people on Twitter, “leaking” internal emails etc is proof of this.

His job is PR. His tweets are worth billions of dollars in market cap. A lot of the fraud companies are/were excellent at PR and at attacking and undermining their critics; it's an essential element keeping the market cap inflated. Valeant for example charmed all of Wall Street, the press and even conservative value funds despite horrible fundamentals because Pearson had a gift with language. Fraudcoin IPOs with no fundamentals depend on entirely on how language and perception is crafted, and they've pulled in billions.

The only way he survives to get to model Y is to bring in about 15 billion dollars of outside money - loans, secondaries, bonds. Tesla are dead broke and 2 billion in negative working capital beside. That requires an extreme level of irrationality in the those who bet on it - something that needs to be cultivated and tended constantly.

As for the time, wtf? It takes less than an hour a day to keep up with social media. His PR team no doubt collates items of interest to read every day. Like Theranos, the entire survival of Tesla depends on him executing his PR strategy correctly, since he's incompetent at mass manufacturing and management.

Its been awhile since I took business law but it would seem to me that breaches of fiduciary duties and/or fraud can't be cured by shareholder approval.

I wish the court would have got to the other arguments raised in response by the plaintiffs because I don't think the argument that Elon was a controlling shareholder is very strong. Even viewing the pled facts in the light most favorable to the plaintiffs the court opined that it was a close call.

The pump continues. Musk desperate to keep his stock up for another three weeks.

This is also a very weird thread. He answers a two year old question out of the blue underneath his 2016 tweet that "85% of Tesla shareholders voted for SolarCity merger"

Ya, not just a tweet a really long thread about the merger

Also how is that remotely legal? Just bought 25m in shares, then states there js a material event occurring in 3 weeks.

Is it fraud if he is totally making it up? What a clownshow this is becoming

That purchase is him saying that there isn't anything undisclosed coming up that could get him into insider trading trouble. If they start making Model 3s at a sustained rate of 5k/week in three weeks he wouldn't be in trouble, since that's what they were saying they were going to do.

"It is hard to distinguish among the CEO who promises the impossible because she is committing fraud, the CEO who promises the impossible because she is deluded, and the CEO who promises the impossible and then goes and does it. All three types flourish in Silicon Valley."

for those keeping track at home, Tesla's stock price is up $82 since tooth sayer declared PEAK CUCK at the shareholder's meeting.

Man, winning every possible Tesla argument must get exhausting.

For those keeping track with functioning brains, that term refers to ridiculous behavior by Musk, and has nothing to do with the stock price. The shareholder's meeting was absurd (not least because the CEO was crying), but as I said at the time, the fake news headlines about production levels that came out of it were perfect for Tesla.

No, only your pointless zero content posting does that, as numerous posters have tried to tell you. This is a thread about Tesla and Musk, not your personal insecurities or fascinations.

I've been following this thread for a long time and really enjoy it. Today I finally took the plunge with my fun investing money (all my real money is in index funds) to short tsla at 369.80. This should be fun.

You need to cover that in the next three weeks or apparently it's going to "explode".

I mean, I did fall this morning and hit my head a little but It did give me this weird idea to completely ignore where TSLA's stock price has been.

Maybe focusing on line patterns instead of what something costs isn't such a great idea. I must have really hit my head hard.

This is hilarious:

September 2017: Talks in confident terms about the alien dreadnaught, robots moving so fast they have to take air friction into account, "productizing the factory", outmanufacturing the majors, 5000/week in 3 months

June 2018 (9 months later): Excitedly tweeting about building a tent where they manufacture cars by hand

https://twitter.com/skabooshka

This guy has good information by the way. He drives past the Tesla facility regularly taking photos of employee levels, and now the tent which Musk is "proud" his team built on "minimal resources". Meanwhile, he's mortgaging the last of the factory the same day to satisfy nervous creditors

Looks like Elon has solved the manufacturing crisis:

If only the majors had figured out to build assembly lines in makeshift tents, with no robots, they'd crush the competition.

Tesla is going bankrupt and the stock is at $60 billion dollars of market cap, while their CEO is live tweeting their demise as basement dweller "Jared'" roasts him with a boner joke. This is a tour de force. I am finally a Musk fan.

That "tent" looks like (semi) permanent structures used as airplane hangars, enclosure for tennis courts, and yes factories.

yeah, seems fine, obviously just Musk saying it's a tent to troll folks like tooth sayer who will be all OMG A TENT CAN YOU BELIEVE IT. It's not a tent
