I'm still holding my $430 Sep 25. $57.95 a piece. Hoping I can unload tomorrow.

Did the best I could and dumped my calls end of day for a $4500 loss altogether. Don't want to risk the price tanking tomorrow. But offset for a small profit by selling some calls which I feel like were a pretty good price. $21.50 each for $490 strike Sep 25.

Shuffle,
That's fantastic. These guys have a pretty good handle on "Fully Self Driving feature complete by the end of 2019" also:

Musk is basically Trevor Milton with a rocket company for extra cred. Same types of fraud and lies though. In fact Milton simply emulated Musk's frauds.

I saw firsthand a Tesla stopping on a dime for a pedestrian, and there are Twitter videos of Teslas avoiding all kinds of accidents. It's life-saving technology.

This past week I was speculating that Elon will announce he is stepping down from Tesla "to focus on Neuralink and his other businesses". Then Tesla will be able to get D&O insurance without him. He did all the shady stuff as a Hail Mary to save the company and it worked. I'm guessing the stock would tank to about $212 before rebounding. But after his latest tweets, I'm thinking he usually only does that before big news that will pump the stock, so $558 by Friday????? What does everyone here think?

my call got musked, oops, didn't expect him to tweet out "lol battery day not that cool" the day before

If he's telling the truth on deliveries as well ("we can beat 112K if you try really hard guys" in his leaked email), deliveries and then earnings have little to look forward to either. We always knew battery day would be a flop but I didn't expect deliveries to be a flop as well.

Nobody can hope to make sound objective decisions about TSLA whilst gleefully indulging in spiteful misinformation (Chinese "media" and a Twitter troll).

yeah, it's not like the guys who own the chinese media own 1 of their 2 car factories or some crazy stuff like that

after hours trading tells me this is going really great.

sell side analysts have their work cut out for them trying to spin that.

Turns out the bears where right about the battery situation a few months ago

Ugh seemed so obvious battery day would underwhelm based on elons tweets leading up to it. Still too shook to buy more puts tho.

Didn't watch, seems like he revealed a new S in late 2021 and says 25k car coming soon? Was that it? Seems bad but why we tankin

I challenged some bulls to give predictions for numbers, nobody did. Anyway here are the numbers they presented:

It was not on the same format that I gave my own numbers, but it is better than I expected.

Model S Performance 358miles range
Model S Plaid: 520+ miles range, 0-60mph <2s, 2021Q4

What they presented will influence the company in 2022, until then bears and bulls will just have to agree to disagree, hopefully afterwards one side will admit to themselves that they were wrong.

Lol at you holding up a chart with a couple of graph blocks and the words "vertical integration". I was talking about the facts. No new factory, no new cells, still buying from panasonic, still making panasonic cells, promises to the future that will likely never come to fruition.

The facts

i like how the percentages are additive, and not multiplied like a % should be

sure you can make an argument they factored that in, but sure seems like they just made up numbers and added them like morons, what a joke

Adding %s seem pretty reasonable in that graphic. Multiplying would be strange actually.

The numbers are probably basically made out of thin air though. Another issue is what’s the denominator of those %s.

i agree adding makes sense for a waterfall chart, and the argument you have to make is that the 7% improvement is based on the initial value/denominator, which, to your point, is not presented because all of this is clearly made up.

They did let a few of the investors into the new factory and showed them the cells. They confirmed it was the same cell as Electrek showed a week earlier and that Tesla showed during the presentation.

this thing could really eat **** if they post like 120k or fewer deliveries. i think analysts and everyone kind of expecting 140k
