TSLA showing cracks? TSLA showing cracks?

I wanted to grab some 200$ b/e puts for next earnings and the stock dropped too fast lol. Oh well. Wouldn't be surprised if the bleeding stopped near here. 200$ has to be a psychological support level considering how bad people are getting burned

covered half. hope it's a mistake so my 2020 puts keep going up.

If not mistake will re-add 220 or so I guess. Not sure.

What does this show? Large investors getting out, while lots of individuals buy?

Yes. Basically, funds ran up the price, hedged, and are dumping on retail baggies who are "buying the dip"

I'd say what happened is that he had to get something from the back seat, or wanted to take a nap (some of these assclowns do) or rest his eyes, so he turns on autopilot and 10 seconds later won himself a Darwin Award as the Tesla (fully self driving in 8 months!) fails to see the giant truck blocking the road and slams into it at full speed.

I'd be more profitable if this sell-off was a bit more orderly but can't complain. This is just the gift that keeps on giving

Article says solar roof was announced "soon after" Tesla bought SolarCity however the fake solar roof reveal was staged for the specific purpose of keeping the deal together as SolarCity crumbled. Shareholder vote was a few months later.

Very important piece of understanding Elon and Tesla.

Musk has committed major fraud and told enormous lies. Two possibilities:

1. These are the only/biggest lies and frauds he has committed
2. He has probably committed other lies and frauds, possibly bigger than the ones currently known.

I think any sane evaluation of (2) puts it above 50%.

Meanwhile, from the files of "cucks who can't spot a conman even when powerful evidence is laid for them in clear detail":

It takes a special kind of special person to still believe in Elon after he commits massive careless securities fraud and is hand-making cars in a tent after promising state of the art robotics.

This will be a graduate business case for many many years, the SEC is going to come out looking bad when history is written imo

This actually makes me sad. I feel horrible for that guy. Someone needs to go on there and try to convince him to sell now because regardless of any short term pumps it sounds like his life will be totally ruined if he holds down to 150 or worse. And it's virtually impossible for him to get his "at least 320 in the next few months." Makes my stomach drop thinking about waking up in his situation.

I'm off the book where Elon scammed them and straight lied, but you also don't get to a point where you are absolutely wrecking yourself on one stock without extreme greed/hubris.

Probably a reasonable take RE margin call

Anyone trying to help these people on TMC is simply banned. They even have a special term of scorn for someone who points out the risk of being all-in with Elon, 'care-bear'.

If the dude managed to make 7 figures then his life won't be "ruined". He'll learn a valuable lesson about not being a gullible moron, but I can't think of any reason someone who accumulated 7 figures would have their life ruined. If he inherited it, it's way better for him in the long run if he is forced to work and be useful. If he made 7 figures through working, he can make at least a middle class wage. Might be a different story if this was 2008 and not a strong Trumpconomy.

What if he's 70 years old and that represents a lifetime of work?

Or a million other scenarios?

yeah I've been seeing this a little bit as well, only in US delivery centers though i think? also seems like s/x deliveries are down.

debating whether to close out some puts before q2 delivery numbers. 90k is still extremely unlikely, but if they get close like 80k+ stock might pump a bit. margins are still probably terrible though and they cut s/x price again this morning

^ They consolidated all LA operations into MDR, hence the spike. Most sources are still tracking to 65-75k deliveries for Q2.

US model 3 looks like it’s up a little from April, and US SX seems to be flat or down a little from Q1. Model 3 mix worse in Q2 than Q1. 80k total Q2 deliveries is still a big stretch and <70k is probably more likely than not.

I can confirm that even the most polite post about reducing risk gets your banned from TMC, anything about selling tesla stock gets you banned

I would pile in on him but I was just as greedy just on the other side. Would have wrecked myself if Tesla stayed above 300 through the end of the year. Not for nearly as much money but most of my liquid. I am sure I am not the only one.
