Hey Grim,

Glad you saw the pics from the 2 bedroom penthouse suite (with two jacuzzi tubs, so TS could probably even appreciate it) over in the Vegas thread--that was a crazy nuts weekend. I actually booked the 2 bedroom penthouse at Caesars for a trip in June during the Sapphire strip club golf tournament, so part duex of that trip report will show up in June.

Again, sorry for the Sportsfanx1 derail.

No need to apologize, this entire thread is a derail. Live it up.

Looking forward to the bet.
Got bored and read sportsfan thread. Highest content thread on BFI in at least 3 years. Real trader, real money. Tooth trolls it up and ruins any interesting discussion. Instead, we have this abomination of a thread with one $40 dollar scared as **** trade.

While I appreciate the compliment, and have butted heads with Tooth as much as anybody, I will humbly admit that he was correct in that I initially came in completely braggy and douchey in that particular thread--without any actual useful trading content. I did try to right the ship later on in the thread, but the butting of heads was in full effect by that point and it was seemingly just going to be an un-ending and useless debate.

Granted, it's too bad the $23k bet didn't go through--since Tooth would have had to post 7 winning days in a row trading options, and it seems I would have won the bet on the first day (if it had gone anything like this current Tooth v. Brian bet). But "se la vie" (that one's for Tooth).

Eh, that was pure free money. It was impossible to lose and you could game this **** out of it by starting off small and martingaling. Multiple people would have fronted me $23K if I didn't have it, precisely because it was free money, so it wouldn't even prove that I have $23K, the point of the bet. I'm not in the business of stealing.

Derail away. Maybe masque can take some notes on how to properly derail a thread.

Thread so far:

- OP prick teases all year
- Peanut gallery gets restless
- Aspie comes in and start posting trades/theories before being run out of town
- Guy with wifemother comes in and starts getting obsessed with the conspiracy theory that OP doesn't even trade real money, and then owns himself (and gets owned by the object of his obsession) in multiple ways to the amusement of the peanut gallery
- Actual options baller turns up and shows how it's done.

I'm not sure what could make this thread better except a 30 bagger on the last trading day of the year.

Tooth has a 95% win rate on 30-baggers. This thread proves it. Look at all the trades and screenshots of confirms/ summaries. Guy is an internet legend. He will snap take your 25k account bet. He said he would quit trading if he made less than 100k last month. He posted all his trades from last month. All 30 baggers had no losing trades. Did it all from his jacuzzi. Why would he not take it? Lil bitches like you are just lucky.

Soon his nickname will be "billions". Tooth talks the talk and walks the walk. He's proven he can trade a 1k account scared ****less. You've only shown you can trade an 8k account to 150k(?) over a couple of years. Who would you believe?

The bet is hard to win not because the winning trades don't exist, but because they're also offset by a bunch of losers - and knowing which one is which ahead of time is the challenge.

Just pointing out the fact that having trades that would've won the bet already doesn't mean anything since he's also had trades that would've lost the bet already.

General question about trading: Can anyone beat the market trading short term trades if they don't watch it all day, most days? I'm coming to the view (especially after reading mrbaseball's comments) that the big winners all have high level, well nuanced, massively trained (1000s of hours) pictures of what normal and abnormal flow looks like, a deep feel for the market and how it moves and why. It's more like getting to know a personality over months/years than anything else.

Anyone agree? Are part-timer frequent traders like CandyKreep, and those not intelligent enough to instinctively develop and refine rich first-principles awareness of complex systems, basically drawing dead?

I think there are a lot of imperfect models of the market that can be profitable to trade, and machine learning can take the place of this 'actual' learning. Same concept (or similar) but doesn't actually involve (a human) watching the market all day.

This is almost certainly true, in fact I have no idea how traders who spend all day watching the market manage to still properly discern signal from noise.

I believe you once said that someone couldn't make it as a professional trader if they weren't smart enough to obtain a Phd in math, or something similar like computer-science or engineering.

This recent post seems like you believe it is based on experience and even "feel".

The TA traders aren't using any math, that's for sure.

Even trading around short-term based news events doesn't seem very math-based.

Not arguing with you just confused by this.

Funny, you are probably the closet person to masque on here. You two both regularly invest half of your day publishing content-less walls of texts, trying to defend yourselves.

Sports shared a few screens, and he has more credibility than you ever had, and his lifetime post count is in the same magnitude as your post count just in this thread. A picture is with a thousand posts.

He's posted zero real time trades and so he has zero credibility. All we know is that he has a nice stack of cash to throw around.

As for you, lol...you're nearly as obsessed as turtle.
