When you constantly take the negative side of an argument, you appear smarter than everyone else. Inherently, the world is imperfect due to the natural laws of entropy.
So, an optimist always appears naive, and a cynic appears wise and intelligent, when in actuality, cynicism is actually rooted in intellectual laziness.
“A cynic knows the price of everything and the value of nothing”
The constant arguing and name calling is just a symptom of what is actual deep insecurity in one’s viewpoint.
