if you can't get the full article via that link...here is all of it:

SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones)--Zynga Inc. (ZNGA) Chief Executive Mark Pincus said Wednesday he sees "mind blowing" possibilities for weaving real-money gambling into social games pending regulatory changes in the U.S., and suggested the company may partner with a traditional casino company before the end of this year.

Pincus, speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference, said his San Francisco-based company sees a great deal of opportunity "to start to bring this gambling element into more than just casino games."

"The amount of innovation you're going to see around gambling as an entertainment mechanic is going to be mind blowing," he said.

Zynga's CEO suggested the company may partner with traditional casino firms such as Wynn Resorts Ltd. (WYNN)--where Pincus mentioned he once won enough money in a single sitting to buy himself a "fancy watch."

"We're definitely talking to all of the players that you would suspect," Pincus said, adding, "We have incredible respect and admiration for brands and groups like the Wynn... I would expect that you'll see a lot of these players kind of figure out their go-to-market partnerships for sure before the end of this year."

Pincus's comments come as several states consider allowing online gambling, and large casino companies press the federal government to allow online poker networks.

Pincus noted that real money gaming would be a natural fit for Zynga, which already draws tens of millions of players to its Zynga Poker game.

Unlike current games such as Zynga Poker, real money gambling games would involve more than just virtual currency that cannot be converted into cash.

Up 4% after hours..... I'm really betting on real $$ Bingo with Zynga. I think it's more socially accepted plus think of all the 50yr old single ladies with nothing better to do but sit online and play bingo with her friends. Print the $$$$$

10% rise from yesterday.

It's because of their newly launched website.

Still time to buy though. Lots of room for improvement.

PS: Yes, IMO bingo will go real money too. I can see zynga makes a deal with a reputable poker brand (probably cassava) and just launch their own skin or other form of merging pools, sticks with facebook for playmoney and has a big ass banner that says "Play for real money now." All the FB issues with gambling gone and they make their buck.

I think also seeing the Yelp IPO being priced at $15 helped Zynga jump a bit.

Taking a quick look at their finances, it seems like they do a poor job in managing cash as hey have required outside capital injection to continue operations either thru private offerings or it's recent IPO.

In addition, it is certainly spending tons of cash on their R&D line but whether that's yielding a respectable IRR is somewhat open to question.

My general impression is that's a company that has (possibly had) great ideas and was fortunate to tie its fate with facebook but lacks good, disciplined management. The press on Pincus isn't particularly flattering and seems to drown out any other internal voices.

It's a good rumour/news kind of stock to speculate in but it's overall value seems questionable with the current leadership.

Perhaps it's too exciting of a stock for my taste.

too bad JPMorgan punkd this, might take a dive today

J.P. Morgan has taken the air out of Zynga’s recent rally.

Shares of the social-game developer skidded 6% to $13.78. That follows two seesions, in which Zynga’s shares gained nearly 12% on the company’s announcement that it will launch the beta version of its new online games platform later this month.

In a note to clients, J.P. Morgan analyst Doug Anmuth lowered his rating to neutral, citing the fact that Zynga had reached his $15 price target.

“We attribute the recent move to increased investor focus on social gaming, the potential for legalization of online gambling, and optimism in the soon-to-be launched Zynga platform,” he wrote. “We are also positive on these fronts, but we believe some of the potential upside is now being factored into the stock and it will likely take some time for both online gambling and Zynga.com traction to materialize.”

anyone think ZNGA will nosedive through its jan 9th low of 7.97? Or is time to buy buy buy?

My amateur mind cant piece together why its stock has plummetted; theres just some seemingly substance-free hit pieces out there (like the Forbes article today and the ominous bandwagon downgrade from Evercore).

Did their plans to go online-gambling disappear? Cause I thought that was the whole reason the stock was worth $15+ to begin with. If not, then wtf?

They amended their IPO to allow insider selling before the initial date that was agreed upon. It has dropped something like 40% since then. Insiders have sold a ton of stock for $12/share

I wouldn't touch this right now.

I would want to be short Zynga for at least a period after the Facebook IPO if anything - probably try selling into the halo effect on the day of the IPO itself.

Not a trade I'm actually likely to take though.

You can't exactly expect stable price on a company with no earnings to put in a floor. By any rational valuation method based on book value, earnings and earnings growth they're WAY overvalued. It's just a big pile of hopes, dreams, and rampant speculation. Which can be fun of course, but not expect stability or rationality.

I think if their management thought there was any possibility of regulation in the near term they wouldn't all be selling.

Can someone help me out here understanding this...

Morgan Stanley's mutual funds hold 10s of millions of dollars in ZNGA. And yet Morgan Stanley bankers amended the paperwork to allow this massive dump, which nets Zynga-the-company nothing and is nothing more than a massive cash grab for ZNGA insiders as the stock price as plummeted... ???

Also, can someone help me out understanding yahoo finance's insider holding information? It lists Marc Pincus for instance selling 16.5 million shares on 4/3, and on the insider roster lists him as now holding zero shares. He really owns zero shares of ZNGA now?

Thanks!

Is the stars move bullish for Zynga? I mean I know that's like speculation on top of speculation but it kind of odd that they would buy it unless they had some way to get back in the u.s. And if that's the case then there has to be some plans for zynga to join and rapidly increase their revenue per user through real money play. Even if Zynga doesn't offer real money play in the U.S but offers it in ROW then how would zynga not be a buy at these levels? They will be going into real money the question is when?

I sold around $12 and have kept an eye on it since. At this point Im just waiting to spot something more concrete re: legalization of online poker alongside a ZNGA effort to be involved in that...I hope I spot it on pokernews or 2p2 before its in the WSJ.
